A long list of sex acts just got banned in UK porn

Read the thread. I can't help if you think your comment needed defending.
Again somebody's comment was taken completely out of context. That person then felt she had to apologise where no apology was needed.
And no I'm not apologising for pointing this out. Stop making out you are the injured party and stop trying to make out that I am personally attacking you when all I was doing was defending another.

Yes, this conversation is over.

I think there are several oversensitive members on here overreacting to certain posts. Let's all try to view this in context, shall we?

I know this is a fairly heated topic anyway, and we're all pretty narked with the new law. Even without people feeling that jibes are being made this is likely to highlight disagreements between us all, but that's no reason to fall out. Please think about this in a larger scale guys. Is this forum really worth falling out with people and feeling like crap afterwards? I don't think so. This should be a place for you to come and chat and feel good, not bad.

Please take things with a 'pinch of salt' and understand that is it SOOO easy to mis-read something online when it isn't backed up by the normal things which help conversation, like inflection, tone and body language. I'm sure no one here wants to make anyone else feel bad or hurt, not intentionally anyway. And if anyone here is online with that mission, then you're not welcome here and it's probably best you leave the the community.

We are a community of friendly, helpful people who look out for one another, not wind each other up. Try to remember this when posting AND reading other comments. If you assume most members are simply voicing their opinion in an non-vindictive way, you'll see through any accidental digs. However, if you assume someone is purposely after you, they could say anything and you'll hear/read it in the wrong context and feel upset. This isn't fair on anyone.

Obviously, if any of you have any problems, and genuinely feel like you're being singled out or treated unfairly, please use the report function. Please don't exacerbate the situation by commenting here and injecting more heat into the conversation - it will just spiral out of control. Be assured, we take bullying very seriously and bullies are dealt with promptly and swiftly.

Deep breath and *aahhhh* ^_^

well said jess. x

wow - just caught up on this thread!

Anyway, for those who are narked ( first time I have ever used that word) then you might be interested in this!

!2th Decemebr at Noon

Parliament Square

There is a mass 'face-sitting' in protest of these bans

Probably more of a laugh than anything else

Wow, that looked brilliant. Can't believe I missed it or didn't hear about it on the radio or something. God I hate censorship... it's like we're still trapped in the 80s, where panicking morality groups try to "protect the children" by treating us all like children! ![](upload://auespWY2jeVe46VFziva9nry44n.gif)

Next they will ban porn alltogther

I don't want to do the whole link-to-blog thing, but I want what I'm saying to be availible to people other than the lovehoney community, and also to people who I'm quite happy at knowing what I think, but not where I shop for sex toys, when they can work out what I own >.>

But yeah. I did some research and put together a bit of a thing about all this nonesense. If anyone notices anything that needs ammending, let me know! :)

What does penetration by any object associated with violence mean?

i feel like it was aimed at non-sextoy objects, like beer bottles, it is kind of degrading? not sure. but it appears to cover dildos too.

does it count for mastubaton too? like using a dildo on her/hiself

Wouldn't it be more like guns? Maybe a beer bottle, more likely metal bars or something used as a weapon to overpower a victim and then used to rape him or her. I don't get how that would include a dildo unless someone took Victor on a rampage.

ah that wold make sense. it says penetration with objects (associated with violence) i assumed the prenetration with objects was asociated with violence but you might be right with the penetration being with objects that are associated with violence

each to their own but I can kinda see why they would ban instering a gun, metal bar, knife etc seems a bit much.

I think the issue isn't necessarily the defense of those particular objects, but the extremely vague nature of the law. "Object associated with violence" is such a broad term and is open to interpretation. As I said earlier, one could argue that penises are an object associated with violence under a certain light. We here on this forum may scoff at that definition and recognise how ridiculous it is, but will the person making the rules do the same? Who gets to decide what is an object associated with violence and what isn't? Defending the right to insert metal bars and similar objects isn't the issue for me - the vague and arbitrary nature of the law is.
