So, completely new to sex toys, I bought the Lovehony beginner's anal prober, bulbed at one end and beaded at the other. Thought I'd see what the fuss was about with beads (I did!), and also use it as a dildo too.
But, personally, I've only been able to use it as a glorified buttplug than get much work out of it as an actual dildo.
I did attempt inserting it all the way, but the bulbous centre section feels like it's supposed to be the "plug" that stops you losing it up there, which means you only really have 3-4 inches of insertible length so I can find. Obviously I don't want to force it where it feels like it won't fit, but plenty of reviews were talking about using the full length and the second (centre) bulb.
Do I just need to gently work my way up to taking the full length (4 inches max circumference) or should I be looking elsewhere for a dildo if I want something I can explore for length?
If length/depth is something you want to start to explore why not try some anal beads?
These ones would be a good starting point. Up to 10 inches of insertable length and the girth is fairly slim. https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=35504
Certainly a thought Nat/Tom, cheers.
I was considering dildos because the fantasy here is simulating anal sex. At the moment I'm lucking at suction cup dildos because then I can (hopefully) mount them on a wall for solo simulation that way.
I have this. It has a really good suction cup so stays where you put it. Its fantastic to back up onto and has the added bonus that you can control the vibrations from the front so to speak without having to fiddle around trying to find buttons etc while playing. It looks a bit intimidating for anal if you're a beginner but its quite soft and really flexible.....its probably one of the most realistic feel dildos I've used xx

That definitely sounds like the ticket haha!
A lot of the anal dildos, particularly any with a curve, look pretty intimidating to be honest.
Shame it's out of stock, since a vibrating suction cup dildo like that at half price sounds a bargain too.

It is in stock in the non vibrating version and on sale too if that interests you? Could always stick a cock ring around the balls for a bit of vibration.
Oh god. Might have to go and splurge for that.
And then go and find my wallet!
The Lovehoney beaded glass dildo is a good place to start for not too much money.

I have this and I adore mine. I'm not sure if it maybe too rigid for a beginner to anal.... certainly worth considering though xx
I think I'm going to go for the silicone suction one you recommended Terri, the versatility and at that price probably can't be beat :P
Never thought I'd take a liking to a realistic dildo (especially since it's so blatantly obvious what it is) but the more I look at that picture...
I agree with Terri the glass one might not be right for a beginner something a bit smaller and less intimidating might be the way to go don't rush into going to big to soon you could tear the inside of your bum and that won't be very comfortable, build up the size gradually it's also more fun that way and don't forget lots of lube enjoy your adventure into anal it's great once mastered

Mine is coming in a few days how did you get on with yours?
I've often thought there's a gap in the market, needing something to hold a suction dildo or butt plug at an/various angle rather than straight up that one could ride between our legs ? Yes I can use the loo seat top or chair or even a small upturned bucket but it's still straight up?
Quiet ones are worse! wrote:

There is a Vac U Lock suction cup mounted on an adjustable right angle hinge.
