Sexterminatrix lives the look of them on me and they are very comfortable to wear HOWEVER, I wouldn’t recommend wearing them all night to sleep as they do tend to chafe between the legs. But for daily wear, they are a great but if you’re looking for something a little more saucy for him. 
Wearing a cock ring under normal underwear will definitely give him a boost, think of it as a push up bra for the little fella

There are many great options to try if you are looking to emphasizing the bulge. I more of a fan of the skimpier ones . With these I usually find the fit and and the fabrics to be better then any of the big box store underwear. He may find that he may wear them for more than just special occasions. I remember trying them it was such a game changer and I haven’t looked back. It’s great that you want him to try them!!

My experiences over the years. I’ve worn all types of men’s underwear.
Regular loose fitting boxers-least favorite for me, no support at all. Boxer briefs have been pretty good depending on the brand and features to hold things in place. But they always ride up my thighs. Bikini briefs, very comfortable and supportive to hold everything in place. Now, I’m onto wearing thongs. I have to say, after about a week or so of wearing a thong, they are the most comfortable of all! Plus they feel good with butt cheeks bare under shorts and any other trousers for that matter.
My vote is Thongs first and bikini briefs a close second.

same here - I like the style of nice boxer briefs as well, but most ride up my thighs. Went through Yep - the same here and ended up with thongs as a real preference. I got quite a few simple sporty cotton thongs for everyday wear, still a bit more sexy than briefs but really also an equivalent of what OH and friends often wear for sports.
I have boxer briefs from Lulelemon that I like, they look great and don’t ride up, though have short 4 inch inseams. I loved the ones from Allbirds but they aren’t making them any more. Another one to try is Ex-Officio, which are technically travel undies.

I have a couple of pairs of those and love them for the times when I want to feel special in vanilla situations without anyone knowing but us.
However, since my operation last year, the rubbing of the head on the lacy fabric causes an almost constant semi

Actually, that’s one of the things I like about some of the new fabrics they are using in underwear these days. The softness of the material, and stretch, makes wearing them an erotic experience. If the boxers are just a bit loose, moving around in a relaxed pair of pants gets my penis rubbed in a way that does keep me in a state of arousal all day, being “ cut “ probably enhances that situation.

The thong just didn’t give him enough support in the front so they fit weirdly.
sweet with the jock strap - probably feels and looks sexy. bummer the thong did not fit well. had one that simply was too small in the front, which was a bit sexy, but hopeless to wear for longer. they can be so nice, if fitting well. I got some I prefer for running over other undies.
