I was married previously and we had one horrible, battery powered plastic dildo. I had no idea about all the amazing different toys that exist now.
With my current wife, we had some little plastic thing that came from a pub vending machine (my wife bought it). It did the job.
For my first decent toy, she took me to a adult store and I was like a rabbit in the headlights! A helpful assistant helped us through all the toys and we bought a fab little bullet type vibe.
