hi. just wondering if anyone had suggestions for a first time toy. i have read a lot but its sort of overwhelming. and i found this site and there are just so many different kinds.

Yes, I agree the amount of toys available can be a bit daunting.
If you’re a complete novice to toys I’d highly recommend starting with a bullet vibrator. They’re small, lightweight and it’s easy to direct the vibrations to exactly where you need them .

I would suggest either a small suction toy, the mini wand or a small bullet then you can experiment and learn more about what you like or dislike without spending lots

Would strongly recommend a wand. Mains powered ones can be a little intimidating, so would suggest a rechargeable one.

I wouldn’t say any toy is quiet @Caseymyers, maybe quieter than more powerful toys like mains wands, or toys that offer movement. When I started it was trial and error. I think a bullet might be the quietest or something that offers more deeper rumbling, maybe others have more suggestions

That’s tricky - I would personally try a bullet on the lowest setting and see if that is adequate and discreet enough for you

How about something like the We vibe tango as below:
Expensive however I recall them being pretty powerful in vibration for a lipstick type vibe. Had a tango years back I used in an anal toy and recall it having strong vibrations

In searching for your first toy, be sure to think about what type of stimulation you hope to get. For example are you just looking for clit stimulation or also wanting something to penetrate yourself with? If penetration, think about size and girth. Don’t go big if you are inexperienced with penetration. Also consider getting some lube as it may make using a toy your first time more comfortable.
