I am looking at buying seamed stockings for a friend. I know the joys of traditional fully fashioned stockings, but are modern seams version (stretch rather classic nylon) better? FFN’s are glorious to touch and look amazing but I know from hearing from recipients that they are quite fragile so are modern more practical and enjoyable to wear?

There is significant difference between classic FFNs and modern seamed stockings. Modern stockings are stretchy and have Lycra. They feel lovely to wear, but I really don’t think anything beats the look or silky smooth feel of true FFNs. The epitome of feminine elegance.
The other difference is the price! … FFNs are very expensive - but worth every penny!
