I’d say its more common than you think amongst certain groups, but its in no way the norm.
I will
I can remember years ago when I was married to my ex wife, and my brother in law telling me once that his wife, the prim and proper grade school teacher, that didn’t swear, and took church very seriously, well, she loved to get into the bathtub and run the spigot on her pussy to orgasm, then have him throw her on the bed and screw her anally. You just don’t know!
You do now!

If this question is too much then feel free to ignore it and call me bad names, but do you think your ex was hypocritical? In that, was she likely to of been less prudish with her bits on the side than with you?
No worries
What’s “the norm” then?
I don’t think so no and the biggest reason is selection bias.
Whereas sure the ‘average’ person has sex, I’d guess they don’t actively sign up for, and spend their free time reading a sex forum.
No facts to back this up obviously, but I’d hazard a guess that this community naturally skews to be the more sex forward, open-minded, and niche sex enthusiast and whereas some of your neighbours and colleagues may be into some wild shit, it’s just a totally different (niche) baseline.
I’d go as far as to say that considering the public to people of this forum as a ‘norm’ is like comparing a Comic-Con crowd to the general population and concluding that 90% of the population is into super heroes and reading comic books.
A kinky church, could you imagine?
That puts a whole new meaning to worship ![]()

Divinely and holy worship
The church is meant to be all about the love of your neighbour
It’s them.
They are the norm
those others
but we don’t see them often
they don’t like it here
since we’re. not. the norm
As a Catholic ( ex ) I’ve heard a few stories.
It would appear mine takes that perhaps a little too seriously ![]()
I’m former C of E, leaning Unitarian. I stepped away from the church for a long time, believing that God would judge me for being kinky. I’ve since learned that God never judged me; it was my brothers and sisters who did.
Leaving the institution was the best thing I did for my personal relationship with our Father.
That’s fantastic news.
I found a diagnosis made things a lot easier. There’s something about understanding and the reflection that provides that really helps.
