People always seem to reccomend temperature-stimulation as the main reason for going with glass toys. While I definitely agree with this, and have had plenty of fun in that sense, they do tend to heat up to body temp fairly quickly - so while there's a good thrill there, it doesn't last the whole time.
For me its the other qualities that are the selling point. The firmness is a big one for me. I own several buttplugs but my fave is my glass one because of how solid it is in comparison, which in an unexpected way I find *more* comfortable, and feel like the sensations last longer since your body has to adapt more than with squishy toys.
The other factor I enjoy is smoothness, and this is something I'm limited in right now as I currently only own one full length glass dildo https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=32885. This one is obviously a more seamless design and it glides like an absolute dream. I'd imagine that more textured models are entirely different and I guess that's up to your personal preference, and I hope to try one of those out soon to compare!

I agree with you in that there is a stylish elegance about them.Being non porous I feel they are more hygienic than some other materials.Their solid rigidness makes them easy to handle during play.All positives really.
If you want to try an alternative to glass try metal.

Don't think we would have ever gotten around to trying glass if it hadn't been in the mystery box. All I can say is I'm glad it was - and a 2 pack to boot. Heat it up in the bath with you and move to the bedroom - they hold the heat really well.
