We don't do domestic punishment really, outside of the bedroom my partner and I are equals and always play nice (with the exception of play fighting and wrestling). But in the bedroom he's normally the boss (these days at least) and that's when the punishment comes into it, so for us it's definitely erotic in nature and done for pleasure rather than to discipline me for something.
Sub/Dom lifestyles sound exciting and interesting, but at the moment I'm happy just keeping it to the bedroom for us :)
