How do we look?

Having an issue with the placement of ‘Suggested’ and ‘Related’.

Using Laptop and Google Chrome Browser

Before the update everything worked fine with Brave for as long as I have been browsing and then a member of the forum, which I believe totals nearly three years now

Brave is the only browser I use, and the limited topic list is the only issue I am seeing anymore, so I can live with it. Thanks for working on it and keeping us all updated

New set of updates have been released  (Including the overlapping ‘suggest’ section)

Front page updates look good

Edit: spoke too soon. As you were!

Yep looks good so far:slightly_smiling_face:

Overlapping not fixed on Android phone.

It was just the overlapping of the “suggested” that was fixed in this update

Well it doesn’t happen on a Android Tablet and I haven’t noticed it before on my phone until this fixed update.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi @Lovehoney_Brenna , I’m sure it is still on the to do list but the search page is still extremely user unfriendly. The first fix (removing the banners) sorted it beautifully but the fix then got undone and wasn’t then addressed again in the last set of updates.

Everything else is fine for me on my phone now :+1:

Hello, I have products that I need to cooperate with you. How can I contact you?

We haven’t made any changes to this yet, I think the banners occasionally disappear when a page loads (not something we can change ourselves), which might have happened around the time of the fix. It is still on the list to fix!

Everything is actually looking nice and smooth now …… iPhone 14 on safari

@Peitho Just to double check, what happens when you scroll down to the search bar? Does it move the screen back up to the top when you start typing?

There is only a tiny, tiny bit you can scroll down on the search page before doing an initial search. Hardcoding the page to think it’s a lot longer would fix the problem. Once a search has been done and the results appear on the page so there is more on it, then a sexondary search can be done and seen by scrolling down. Tried to capture what I mean…

Maximum scrolled down before doing a search

After a search

If possible, please could I grab a screen recording of the issue via email?

The issue is present on iPhone, but you can scroll down and see the whole search bar, it sounds like you can’t on Android.

Thank you!

When i do a search on my android phone i get exactly the same issue as @Peitho

Could I grab which browser are you using please? It’ll help the team when they are investigating :female_detective:

Sorry, harvesting, running beans and can’t remember how to do a screen recording and don’t have the time to work it out right now but I’ll do it this evening, I promise.

Like @WillC , Android phone and the same thing happens using both Chrome and Samsung Internet, though I can see just the very top of the word “Search” using Samsung Internet which I can’t using Chrome.

As you say, no, with a blank screen below we can’t scroll down. Once an initial search has been performed and results are listed below, I can then scroll down and see what I’m typing in the search bar for a second search.
