So I’ve been getting into bondage recently after watching fifty shades of grey. I’ve never tried it before. I was thinking about what to get and I was thinking about getting
Rope
Paddle
Nipple clamps
Blindfold
Flogger
Ball gag
Bondage tape
I was wondering, how do I store all this? Can I store them together in a box or will the materials degrade just like with actual sex toys? Is a box better than a bag?
I would say go to a well known swedish store They have a large storage box that you can get an insert for that sits on top that has dividers to help separate stuff So you could put stuff on the bottom of the box, then put maybe smaller stuff like lubes and pinwheels etc. in the insert, and then put a lid overtop all of it I sound like an advert don’t I It’s the large Kuggis (would recommend this size as some bondage stuff is too long for smaller boxes) plus the insert is only for the large size
It can all be stored together if you wish. Just be careful if anything spikey being in contact it can scratch or damage and make sure nothing firm is bent.
Most of our stuff is just at the bottom of an underwear drawer, not chucked in but placed properly. The biggest thing is to clean and dry things fully before storage.
The only item on your list that may possibly degrade with time is the bondage tape but even then I’m only guessing. Store them all together. You should have no problems.
We have a little cabinet for ours. There are plenty of household items and stuff you can buy from standard shops and supermarkets that are cheaper in the first instance before you spend alot of money on something you aren’t sure you’re into yet. We have a huge variety of actual bondage equipment but still even now buy household ‘pervertables’ we bought a wooden feather duster and sturdy solid spatula the other week. That hits the spot better than some of our paddles
Most of your items can be sorted together in my opinion. If you do want to separate some I use a well known home delivery giant’s gift bags to store toys.
Also new socks are handy custom shaped bags for other items.
Hope this helps.
I‘d say the answer depends on;
how & who you use them with, whether you need to hide them & your attitudes to hygiene risks and fluid bonding.
Materials like rope and leather, for example, are porous, and can hold on to sweat and other bodily fluids. They‘re also slow to dry so they get washed much less than many toys.
My wife and I prefer to store these separately from sex toys used for penetration, but we think they’re mostly ok bundled together, seeing as they’re just for the two of us (for now, at least!), they don‘t tend to break the skin, and they‘re used externally.
Our butt toys and vaginal toys are stored separately. Usually these have their own satin bags, partly for stealth, partly to keep them clean, and partly to stop silicone toys melting each other!
In our fantasies, we have a lockable, soundproofed, climate controlled room with mahogany racks for a permanent collection of toys and tools.
For now we‘re making do with lockable trunks and boxes in the bedroom for our stash .
Silicone actually doesnt react with other silicone. As long as its decent quality its fine to be stored together. Ive kept a variety of silicone toys in the same bags for several years and had no issues.
Now PVC, TPE/TPR, jelly, all that stuff labeled “real feel” (basically all the stuff labeled “soft plastic” in the shop) that stuff will definitely react with each other.
