Insurance Payout - Ideas?

We’d knock a couple home projects off the to-do list, spring for a little travel, and then either throw it all into an investment account or we’ve also been thinking of looking at purchasing a rental property, so maybe that’s what we’d do with the remainder.

50k to a mortgage, 10k for treats like a holiday or trip away, maybe invest 10k, might split 10k between family members to help out and put rest into savings for emergencies.

Always think about stuff like this if i won the lottery etc

Have you considered leaving a couple of lights on for a day or two then Fill the car with petrol perhaps a takeaway if there is enough left ?

OK - so we got our money from the insurance company. We have paid off all of our liquid debt (credit cards and lines of credit), reno’d a basement area and built a room with a suite in it for company, and bought some shit for the house like a TV, some patio furniture, etc.

My parents just sold their house and they have decided to give me and my sisters the money from the sale as an early inheritance. Apparently we are in line for another $100k or so. I also get a bonus next week at work which was half paid when I started as a signing bonus and now that I have been here 3 months, I get the rest. I also have my tax return money which is looking like another $15k. So all in all we are pocketing about $250k tax free money.

I have suggested that Mrs. Val go get some breast work done as she has always wanted implants but is afraid she will lose her nipple orgasms that she can get.

Is there a “lift” procedure that you can do without an implant? Snooping through her underwear she wears a 36 D bra but has nursed 2 kids but she is always hiding her breasts saying they aren’t good enough. I am a breast man so I could care less…however, I think I might push this a little it harder. She did go for an implant consultation but backed out due to Googling horror stories of implants…

It’s her body but she already gets botox injections, hair extensions and lashes… I think she should get something a bit more permanent. Thoughts?

@valbowski77 Im sure your intentions are good, but if I had issues with confidence about my breasts AND a husband who “pushed” the idea of a boob job. I think the safety thing “said husband” could do is to start running, fast, to avoid my wrath.

@Mrs.John Don’t get me wrong… I love tits. Probably my favorite part and very typical of a man.

To be clear, her visit to the clinic was 100% her idea with my support. I love them either way and really like the idea of not having something put into your body in your 40’s… I am happy to have her happy so either way I am good. She is in fantastic shape and looks after herself better than ever before.
If it helps her confidence or boosts her sex drive through feeling pretty, I have the 2nd most to gain!

I believe there is a breast lift that can be done - pretty frequently as part of the “mommy makeover” that is less invasive than implants, and without the same kind of risks (implant syndrome/rejection is a real thing), but it’s still a major surgery. I think it may include a slight reduction to get the lift, too. Best way to get those answers is for your wife to consult with a surgeon, ask all the questions, and be fully supported in whatever decision she makes.

If i had that amount of money there’s no way i would use it for unnecessary invasive surgery on my OH, if she lacks confidence in her body tell her how sexy she is as she is. If you agree or encourage her into surgery, she will think there IS something wrong with her body. Spend the money on making memories instead.
Put it this way, how would blokes feel if women suggested they have surgery on their “Dad bods” and middle aged spread?

You can get fat grafting :woman_shrugging: It’s where they lipo fat from one area of the body, filter it, and insert it in another. It’s a more “natural” way, but results aren’t guaranteed for an exact end size as the body reabsorbs some of the fat, but it always sounded the “safest” to me :woman_shrugging:  You have to get implants replaced every 10-15 years, and I’ve seen a few people switch from implants to the fat grafting

Of course that is if it’s what she wants :+1: Her breast size is by no means small though, so

There should never be a “but” after “it’s her body”… She has had a consultation and made a decision. I don’t think there’s anything else to discuss about it.

If you’re struggling to spend the money then I would suggest donating something to charity or supporting a good cause. There’s lots of people in really difficult situations, particularly at the moment, and support towards charities can make a huge difference
