Appreciate you’re thoughts @aljerram . I am not promoting one or the other and really, these days uncut seems to be the norm. I am happy to be cut but on the rare occasion I hook up with another guy I am happy for them to be uncut.
My husband (only penis I’ve ever seen in person) is circumcised. I don’t think it would be a big deal either way, but I question the usefulness. Since our family’s kids are born at home, none of them have had it done.
Honestly, the thought of sharp blades near sensitive parts is pretty chilling. I’ve got a huge clit with a hood that hangs over it, and it comes out when I’m aroused. Kind of similar to a foreskin, I think. I certainly wouldn’t want that removed.
I understand (and people jump on me if you think I am wrong), it was because certain groups (irrespective of religion) thought it was good for health reasons in hot countries and that morphed into a religion occasion (not sure why the US were so far behind the ball until the past decade or so and still followed the health excuse).
Now clearly in modern society there are occasions when, for heath reasons, the procedure needs to be done for the benefit of the person but on a baby?
The only way to slow the rate of circumcision down is education. Maybe get the ins co’s to stop paying for it. Cutting a baby is damaging, painful, inexcusable, unnecessary.
I had always been proud of my foreskin, never hid the fact I was uncut.
I admit when it came time to get naked with the girl I later married, I was not at all sure what she’d say.
It wasn’t what she said - it was what she did - he held my hard penis and moved the foreskin back to see the head. She was curious because she had never seen an uncut penis before.
Circumcision has a long history.
In Europe it was very rare outside the Jewish community (at one stage the Catholic church even banned it) until the nineteenth century. Some research found that rates of sexually transmitted diseases were lower in Jewish men (and circumcision was thought to prevent masturbation which was blamed for almost anything). Circumcision then became relatively common, but the research was subsequently debunked and by the 1940’s the NHS was founded and wouldn’t fund circumcision. People wouldn’t pay to have it done so circumcision became much less common in Europe, but remained common in the US for some reason.
@aljerram my first same sex experience was exactly the same way.
If the ins co’s in the US would wake up and realize they’re wasting money, circumcision would be far more uncommon.
OH writing this. The guy part of the couple who were here last night is cut or circumcised however you call it. It was nice seeing the head of his penis, but I am partial to one that is natural. My hubby. But, I have to say all nude guys are gorgeous! I’m not gonna not look at a guy just because of his penis type.
OH writing this. I hold his semi soft penis and rub it on my clit area. His foreskin covers the head of his penis even when he’s hard. I love the way it feels on me and when I sit up I can watch the action. That alone makes me so wet! By the time he’s hard I’m wet and want him IN!
I love my foreskin, I’ve played with it for so long and it’s given so much pleasure but as I’ve said on other threads it is soon to go.
To put forward the medical reasons :
I now realise I have suffered from phimosis for probably most of my life and sex has never been perfect but I knew no different obviously. Now in my 50s it has got so tight that it will never retract now, and is constricting blood flow in a way that my penis can only expand to 3/4 erection.
This also causes me to feel no orgasm when ejaculating during piv (need tons of lube to get in) although my o/h says it’s no different for her. I suppose it is like wearing 20 condoms at once. Weirdly though I can feel the semen rush out, but it’s just like having a wee ! I have a good orgasm when masturbating as I/her can control the pressure correctly, but there’s more to life than that for both of us.
Just waiting on the date, have had the ‘pre-op’ consultation yesterday with instructions how to prepare regarding fasting etc
Good luck. I would be very sad if I lost mine. But you have a very pressing medical situation.
