I had done exactly that the 1st time around, but it’s reappeared and the hide functionalities aren’t available at all.

I hate it. It completely obscures the ‘Reply’ button.
I shift it but it reappears in the same place next time.
As you can see on my screenshot the blue accessibilty button is blocking the reply button so I can’t reply to any thread. It’s half covering the post button too.
I agree. How do we get rid of the “Accessibility” button . . .
You’d think these things would be tested before being implemented.
Exactly @WillC - but that’s on discourse I believe[1]![]()
The company the forum is based or hosted with. Don’t ask me how I know

I’ve notice you can tap it and scroll down to “move widget” either left or right.
For me, this moved it to the top, so the right blocks my own profile link and the left blocks the main forum link so neither of those works.
You can move it but the damn thing puts itself back over the reply button next time I open the forum.
I did the same as @Peitho in @Stacy2’s comment above with the expanded response.
Make sure you select indefinitely and you should be good to go.
Ahh, I’m one where I ticked ‘indefinitely’ but it’s now come back and the option to hide is no longer there: ![]()
These things may seem trivial, but they suck the fun out of being on the forum. I have no idea what “discourse” is, nor do I care. I just think the forum should be easy to navigate and use for everyone. This widget seems to be having the opposite effect.
FWIW I think this is a Lovehoney addition and not a Discourse thing.
Not annoying for me as I chose to permanently hide it. Hiding it was simple on android.
I hid it “indefinitely” but I am unsure if it will return if I ever have to sign out then back in. All I know is that maybe some warning and instructions prior would have helped.
Regarding “accessibility” it might be worth remembering that a fair few of our members are of an age where we weren’t raised and educated on computers, so we struggle when things like the above are implemented out of nowhere.
The usual tapping the icon brought up the hide function, I wonder if it’s different for Apple users? I agree about the older generation might not know how to do this, it would be good to have a post appear on how to hide these things when new functions appear on the forum.
I am on iPhone/Safari, so that could be a key element.
I’ve found that I can use the ‘hide distracting items’ feature in my browser to disappear it, which could be a potential alternative for those using Safari.
Thanks @Ian_Chimp top tip. I have lost the ability to hide it too so might try that. It just seems to position itself in the worse places
I got rid of it initially after reading @Stacy2 reply however today it is back again. I need to read Stacy’s reply again to see what I missed.
It’s really hard to get rid of it
Hi Breanna is there a way of getting rid of the Accessibility widget
