Is this common (in BDSM or otherwise)??

I was reading a blog post of a sub talking about how she has been vacuum packed by her dom.
I have never heard of this before and was wondering if this is actually as odd as it seems to me? Im not experienced in BDSM (but love to research) so Id love to know from more experienced people :)

Never tried this myself, but yes ihave heard of it, and seen picturres.

Basically its sort of a big rubber/layex sleeping bag, you climb in, its zipped up, and then all the air is sucked out.

There is a system built in so you can breathe, that your dom can block for a few seconds for breath play.

Some will also leave the genitals exposed, for the dom to torture, and some are built for ladies that expose their boobs.

Don't know where you'd buy one as a specialist type of thing, and for safety reasons you really need to know what your doing.

A cheap and easy starting point would be to usse clingfilm to wrap your partner. It is surprisingly restraining and can be cut/torn open at strategic points. But you MUST be careful to make sure they don't overheat. Don't do it for too long - and ensure they can breathe properly. Safety firat.

Its he ultimate way to restrain some one they litrally cant move, google Vacbed there actually quite common me and my partner have been thinking of geting one but there quite pricy due to the amount of latex required ![](upload://f8zGclFeQx35HwZLqJ7J1rFzQ0n.gif)

I've got a vacbed and I've done other bits like what you describe. When you describe "vacuum packed" you are probably referring to a vacbed but there are other, cheaper options. A vacbed would cost a couple of hundred due to the latex requirement and framing so for many this isn't an option.

Due to the effort of setting it up I tended to use palletwrap (20 micron) to wrap the person up. This gives the tight, restrained feeling without the hastle. There are other issues related to vacbeds such as the very low pressure and risk to eardrums so you should do some research before using one without someone experienced.

If you want the ultimate in cheap you can get a large binbag (wheely bin bags are the biggest) and a low power vacuum cleaner. A full desription would probably be a bit long for the forum.

If you keep looking into vacbeds you'll also come across a vaccube. Whilst a vacbed is in 2D, a vaccube is 3D and can hold you off the floor.

Adding to my last comment, is it common? Not really people own a vacbed due to the cost and size although more have used one. If someone is friends with another person who owns one it's often possible to try it. This is quite common in the BDSM community I'm in, trying something a friend has that you don't.

BDSM is a wide subject and vacbeds are purely used for bondage so aren't much interest to those who enjoy pain- or service-based activities. They are quite limited in what you can do because the person can't move but they are also behind a layer of latex that is easy to damage if you aren't careful. This means you are limited as to what you can do to them. Cuffs, rope, etc. are more often used because they allow other positions whilst the vacbed is generally just lying flat on your back.

most helpfull

Never heard on this until now so did a quick internet search - Holy cow! I cant say that I would ever trust anyone enough to to this to me as it would be far to claustrophobic even if I could breathe. The videos that show the face also covered are quite disturbing . Brave folks to enjoy this!

For many that use vacbeds, covering the face and being under someone's control is part of the experience. There are various ways of allowing people to breath, from having a collar in the latex so the entire head is outside to a small tube or built-in gasmask that the person uses to breathe through.

love to try but will neaver have the money shame

I was feeling claustrophobic just reading about it. I have never heard of this but yeah I think you would need to be brave to allow someone to do it.

I love bondage being tied up and restrained but would never have anything over my face, or have my breathing restricted.

Never heard of this before!.only seen a joke of people being bagged up on the simpsons, like toys. So that's a I can picture! It sounds like one he'll of an experience! Same my partner isn't into things that adventurous!

It's actually becoming more common, as people explore bdsm and latex creeps into the mainstream. My wife and I put people into vacbeds at a club in London, which is a good way to try it out if you're not sure if you want to lay out £200 and find out you don't like it. I also make them from time to time and as a previous poster said, you can have gasket's to allow the head to be outside, along with access to other bodily orifices.....

Well this sounds interesting.
