Watching Pretty Woman. Absolutely love it!

Last week, went to the cinema (first time since covid) and saw “The Father”. Not exactly what you’d call an easy watch, but superb.

I went to see Cruella in the cinema, so much better than expected! Cinema was empty though, only myself and a couple, still early days getting back to normal but my god, I’m so happy to get back into the cinema!

The Missing.

Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett. Directed by Ron Howard.

Very harrowing but rivetting.

Recently watched 2 thrillers. Awake and Run. Both are really good and I would deffo recommend.

We just watched the kids film Coco. Cried buckets.

@Mrs.John - I watched that on a plane. It took everything I had to not bawl like a baby and disturb the other passengers :sob:

Tomorrow War, it wasn’t bad, think of a cross between Aliens and Terminator.

Saw “Yesterday” on TV last night. I missed the start, but I know the basic premise of the movie, so it wasn’t hard to catch up. Completely daft, of course - and entirely based on a plotline stolen from “Goodnight Sweetheart” - but rather enjoyable. It turns out, Ed Sheeran (who I can’t stand!) is s half decent actor …at playing himself, anyway.

What most impressed me, though, was the casting of the guy who plays a 78 year old, never-been-famous John Lennon. TOTALLY convincing! :+1:

That’s Robert Carlyle :slightly_smiling_face:

Is it? Bloody hell! :astonished:

I could suspend my disbelief that after a solar flare most of the world forgot about the existence of The Beatles, but the lead character returning from Latitude festival and his bike is still chained up where he left it? Come on, that’s just preposterous!

I tried to hide the video clip in a blurred spoiler, but it didn’t play ball. I don’t think it gives away too much. :slightly_smiling_face::crossed_fingers:

He’s an excellent John lennon though. :slightly_smiling_face:
