I/we have done this a few times. By we I mean Miss Heather too.
I did it some long before I met her though as well. Funny, even though I’ve been an ass man forever, some were about boobs.

Miss Heather changed it to “Blimp boobs won’t desert you.”
She liked and loved me long ago, while I was still in my 1st marriage. She wanted us to be a couple. When that happened, she told me about her change in this song as she’s quite busty and it was her way of saying she wouldn’t ever leave me or desert me. And of course, in Heather’s mind she was my true love, it was her cute way of saying she’d never leave me when she changed the lyrics to Blimp boobs instead of true love.
One might ask where she got the term “Blimp boobs” from.
That actually came from my 1st wife. One day when I returned home from work back in like 1995, this is how my 1st wife greeted me. She asked me how my day with blimp boobs went.
My then wife didn’t ask me about how my day at work went, but rather how my day with Heather went at work and she referred to Heather as “blimp boobs”.
Now, way back then I didn’t tell Heather that as I kept things in-house about my wife and me. I didn’t share with others, friends etc. Not our issues or problems I mean.
After my divorce when Miss Heather and I met back up in the summer of 2012, it eventually came out that my 1st wife referred to Heather as “blimp boobs” to me.
Heather actually loved that and she has continued to use that from then on sometimes.
There are a few more songs where changes were made, but I can’t recall them right now off the top of my head.
