Re comments accompanying some pics e.g. @Chosen-one and @Justthe2ofus2007: You are so brave.
I’m not sure anyone here thinks, ‘I’m going to post pics of my gorgeous bod, to the envy of all’?
I think most of us who are not young, well-toned gym enthusiasts are posting despite our hang-ups. And that is really good news. Everyday bodies which have served us well and been loved - by ourselves and others.
An anecdote: my grandfather - long deceased - was a keen photographer. He entered a competition for ‘a beautiful photograph of a woman’. He won and other people who had entered were outraged because it was just a picture of my gran.
The judge pointed out the difference between ‘a beautiful photograph of a woman’ and ‘a photograph of a beautiful woman’.
I know there is a sexist element but this is decades ago and the point is that we can all be beautiful through the eye of a lens and through the eyes of our loved ones, even though we might not usually be confident in our bodies.
It might take a certain angle or the right lighting for us to see what others see and for us to change our perception of ourselves.
On a slightly different note watching porn with real couples and real bodies has helped me a bit as I thought certain areas of my body were disgusting looking…
But hey ho…after all these years they’re the same as theirs…
@CurvyJilly i much prefer amateur porn too, real bodies are much sexier. Also i prefer it with similarly aged people to me, it just doesn’t feel right looking at younger ones.
Aren’t we all! Guycandy! @DavidfromBirmingham; @D_and_E
But may faves from last night are the hour glass curves of @Justthe2ofus2007, particularly the first pic, so shapely!
Taking me a bit of time to get my head around the new layout.
