That's interesting. Is there a 'delete account' button somewhere? I assumed that people would just fade away when they stop posting/leave rather than become suspended. Is it something you have to request?

Yes if you want to leave for good they can "suspend you " but you have to place a request . It can leave certain threads rather glitchy if you was a regualr poster. Some dont as you noted and simply "fade" away.

I was considering doing that but desidered to reconsider , hence I am still here..I had a bit of depression at the time and hadnt posted for a while.

Yes you will see alot of forums do this at a request, I was on a forum way to much and requested it just to stop me visiting it every hour.

Hey all

Some incorrect info here.

To confirm:

- When you see "suspended" on someone's account, that is someone we have been forced to remove due to rule breaking (or simiilar).

Occasionally you'll see a suspension when someone has asked to be temporarily removed from the forum, but would like to use their account again later (but in my 6 years of working at Lovehoney, I've only seen that happen twice.)

- When a member asks to be deleted, we delete their account entirely, and all of their posts disappear with them. This is something you have to request - just pop an email into customer care if you ever want your account removing.

- The glitchy threads are caused when we hide posts (not when we remove a member) which is one of the reasons we now delete rule breaking posts (and not hide them).

The one I had in mind was a certain Scottish lady who I think was suspended at her own request as she as far as I am aware didnt break any rules. That was the example that came to my mind .

I was offered the "Break" earlier this year when things in life wernt going so well . So it would have shown me as a "Suspended user" on all of my previous posts in the same way as if I had been banned.

I couldn't (and even if I could, wouldn't) say for certain who you mean. We would never discuss with members which other members have broken which rules.

One thing I will say though, is; the way in which certain members present themselves on the forum vs the way they speak to our staff is sometimes very (verrry) different. Members who are rude or abusive to staff via phone, email, live chat or social media are automatically removed.

Additionally, it's worth bearing in mind that you can't trust everything that people say here. I've seen several ex-members tell people / tweet that they were the ones who asked to leave the forum when in actual fact we had to suspend them for some reason.

Then we have other members who set up multiple accounts (thinking we don't know) trying to claim freebies on all of their member profiles, and wonder why all of a sudden all of their accounts are suspended. Again, this is something you guys would be unaware of.

Just food for thought, really.

Remember, you peeps don't see everything that actually happens on this forum. We do (muahahaha)

Exactly - we will offer it, however 9/10 no one uses it. They either ask to be deleted, or just take a break themselves (and don't log in for a few months).

😳... I wonder what you see!!! I must say you have been on it this week... thanks for keeping us going. I reported a thread advertising Escorts in London and within minutes the whole tread was gone.

This is my favourite bit. I love the idea of people going absolutely batshit over a sub-par dildo. 🙂

You can never trust anyone online for sure i'm nice on here but am i really Nice lol, this is something i'm drilling into my daughter, she doesn't realize that if you take a picture of your bedroom and lying around might have her name and address someone could use that information. I tell her if you are taking pictures and post them on facebook just think before you post it.

Image ringing up in a fit of rage over an order containing an extra girthy dildo, some nipple clamps, lube and a spanker that was "sub-par" or "not up to my standards".

I know they could never release audio of it for GDPR reasons but it'd be comedy gold if they could.

Jess.I would luv to hear some of these stories one day. ![](upload://ez5kOkpKXRZOxjavAURYmQxVTau.gif)

One of my personal favourites from my time in Customer Care was when a customer told us we'd, and I quote: "RUINED CHRISTMAS" becuase their double-ended dildo didn't arrive.

To be fair though... That DOES sound like a great Christmas! And, ya know, sharing's caring! 😂

Ah thanks K&c30.

It's rather nice stepping back in for a while, while Leanne is off. I've missed moderating ^_^

Lol at the ruined Christmas!!!! I can't wait for the movie "The Grinch that delayed the delivery of the double ended dildo".

On a separate note... There is a competition running at the moment from one of the deal of the day email on Sunday "the Lovehoney lingerie survey 2018" but it doesn't give any information on when the closing date is?

That was one bird not getting stuffed for Christmas.

Now that would of RUINED Christms lol

I seem to remember someone saying once that they don't do Christmas the traditional way it would be just a day off sex toy gifts and play. What a way to spend a special day![](upload://h7LJ67OOrR57VDYrj5ZEwwHAfLG.gif)
