There's a trend in the porn scene for smut 'for girls' but when it comes down to it, it's question that takes you as far as asking 'what kind of films do girls like?' or 'what books do girls like to read?' You're just as likely to find a girl who likes implants and hardcore f*ucking with no kissing or soul as you are to find a chick who needs romantic sub plots, candles and hand holding. I think this thread will show it's a diverse community of tastes
I like porn that isn't made for a gender. Most of us are epicurious and our academic qualifications or sex organs rarely dictate our tastes for what gets us going. Mood is more a factor in my mind.
I like these chances to hear what individuals like because one of my pet porn hates is companies that market to women. And if we were to believe them, we would all be writing: 'I like soft focus and pan flutes.'
For instance there's a ForTheGirls.com It claims to specialise in porn for women. There's good intentions but to me these sites demean female inteliigence and panders to the belief that every woman is a vanilla, hetero who's squeemish about sex. This doesn't help us to overturn the idea that men have sex for pleasure but women have sex for some ulterior motive or need. Not because women have say, sexual drives and er, sex feels awesome.I wish instead this site would market itself as mushy porn. Not porn for women.
Subtly different to these sites I'm bi*ching about are porn channels that make an effort to feature material that focus on women's pleasure, female directors and great actors. Things that are more amiss from the industry than something that needs to be there for women alone. Different strokes for different folks.

Interesting - I think there is a difference between male and female porn (no point watching everything pointing at pleasure for the penis when you want to imagine having your vulva/vagina/clitoris pleasured) but I think the current "porn people" have it wrong. Many people seem to think the difference lies in how much of a story there is, how much romance etc. Which of course *can* come into it, but doesn't always. Many people who watch porn are already horny and want to get off so porn should be targeted that way. I like when storylines and romance are left to "erotic films" rather than "porn"...personally I think the 2 are different - The Secretary is very different to Pam Anderson's Wedding video.
