Returns should I still review?

Unfortunately I am planning on returning a couple of items.
I have never had to do this before so was just wondering if I still leave a review as technically I purchased them?
My chaser email came through for review your item.
Thank you

I think so yes. If youre returning because it didnt suit or you didnt get on with it etc then review and explain why. If youre returning just because youve decided you no longer want the items then no.

Assuming you’re returning them because you did not get on with them rather than because they are faulty then definitely review them. Negative reviews fully explaining why a person doesn’t get on with something can be very useful and sometimes one person’s negative is another’s positive.

If you’re returning because a product is faulty, wait until you have a fully functional replacement to put through it’s paces first… Obviously.

Unless they are tester items, there is no obligation to review anything and certainly not within a set time frame. I quite often don’t review toys for a couple of years and then suddenly think, “Oh, I really should review that now!” :joy:

I agree with @Kh1985 - if you’re returning because you changed your mind because of meeting the item in person then you should definitely review. That would be for reasons like the size, fit, color, material, or texture of a toy or lingerie did not meet your expectations then that’s useful information. For example, there’s a dildo that I just reviewed that is significantly larger than what the description says (we’re keeping it, love it, I had actually gambled on it being bigger than described), but it could be the kind of thing that someone would return it over.

If you’re returning it because you (or your partner) took one look and were like, “nah, not interested, totally changed mind” for reasons other than above, probably shouldn’t review.

Yes returning due to not fitting but extremely disappointed in this as there is no way on this earth they are the size advertised, I’ve actually gone onto the reviews and others have said the same but down in the 1 star 2 star reviews, I didnt see these before purchasing.

Yes ive done the same! The email just reminded me to get to the post office! I purchased the items so not testers.

Yes definitely review them, negative reviews can still be constructive and can include things that the positive reviews miss out.

Oh, pre purchase on items with lots of reviews always, always do a sort by “Lowest Rating” first. Sometimes totally not informative and rather useless reviews, but often it’s here that the pearls of wisdom lie!

This is :100: for both items! I went for a quick glance of the top reviews, but at least im not alone in my thoughts as others have expressed the same, I will do lowest 1st from now on.

I might also suggest reaching out to Customer Care if you haven’t already - they may comp you shipping on the exchange for a larger size or take care of you in some other way to ensure a totally pleasant experience even in your disappointment! Especially if it’s just the fit and not a quality issue otherwise.

I wouldn’t feel obligated to review if not testers, however a frank and honest review might prevent others having similar issues.

If you’re happy to write a review then it’s really helpful to point this out because I would read that and know that I need to size up / down depending if it was way too small or too big. If the only people who write reviews are the people who found the product fitted well then we don’t get a balanced view of the sizing. Would be interested to know which item / brand it was. There are particular brands that I find tiny and will never buy again because of this! I try to read a few reviews from the top, middle and bottom of the ratings to get range of opinions. I also search for forum members that I know (virtually, obviously) and look for reviews that mention a similar size to me. I usually wear clothes size 12-14 but lingerie 14-16 or sometimes 18. Like @LRLRL said, it might be worth mentioning to customer care.

It was the cottelli range, i would be a 16/18 but I like things loose or baggy, sensory issues I need comfort so I always size up, the xl is a 22, there is no way! Just disappointing, I have always found the underwear to be perfect size wise so suppose one unsuitable one isn’t too bad.

Yeah regardless I’d still review them

Are the reviews taking a while to go live at the moment? Submitted one on Monday morning and it’s still not showing on the website.

Check that you’ve got the filter set at newest first, it automatically defaults to 5 stars

Just updating, I sent my review and it wasn’t accepted, I am still going back and fourth with CS as they seem to think I reviewed a faulty toy, it was an underwear set and it wssnt faulty, just not suitable.
Can anyone point me to what thread I can ask Brenna to check my emails match, as they can’t find my purchase :upside_down_face: my forum and buyers account email are the same.
Tks

Try speaking with Brenna direct using her e mail, @Lovehoney_Brenna

Yes they match, I have located the order.

It is still possible that the set was faulty though, the top might have been the wrong size put in the box

Thanks for checking, glad they still match, I did send a copy of the purchase email, just waiting to hear back. Not worried about the items so much, but wanted to keep my reviews live.
