Anyone have tips on trying roleplay? Which situations have you tried and worked best?

We are a bit clichéd with our role playing, it is usually secretary and boss.

Typically we choose roles that inherently have a power dynamic as a foundation. We’ve played teacher/student, maid/boss, secretary/boss, police/(varies), escort/client or hooker/John - there’s a difference between those setups, I think). Many of those are gender neutral, and several of those work well for playing with CNC as well.
We do find role play really helps us to set the stage or mood for more of a power play session and especially helps my wife find the headspace more directly than “take off your clothes and I’ll tie you up.”

A couple we return to is the massage parlour. Lady offers customer a happy ending or vice versa lady customer gets a very intimate massage. These scenarios can go anywhere and usually end differently every time.
As has been already said boss and secretary is a popular one. Again boss as a dominant figure or secretary seduces boss.
Tradesman is a turn on if acted out fully. ie knock at the door tradesman come to fix washing machine, plumbing etc. what the lady of the house wears is important to send the right message. This has led to sex in the kitchen a number of times.
The TV repairman who accidentally switched on a porn movie and tells the lady that he wants to do that to her!!! Selection of a really kinky subject or something you’ve never done before can be mind blowing.
Doctor and patient can lead to all sorts of things. We’ve ended up pegging as well as full sex and masturbation.

I’m very good at staying in character - we change who is Dom in the role and we do the usual
Maid and master
Secretary and boss
Massage worker and customer
Cheer leader
School girl and master
Just stay in the role as long as you can

We’ve recently given these people a try and enjoyed it https://www.faithfulfling.com/ Their first scenario is a car salesman giving a customer a test drive.
Some other ideas are:
photographer and model
gardener and bored housewife (any “tradesman” or “handyman” would work)

There was a guide I saw online (no idea where it is) that explained role playing as a lens on who you are.
Start with something small and maybe a small tweak on who you are.
Our first roleplaying she was a cat that cuddled up to me and pet/lick/etc me and all I said was “does kitty want to play?” Or thanked her
Our second I was a massage person in training. We both liked massage so we played up our massaging.
When we do bdsm we tend to do a lot of roleplay now but its some variation of cherishing the other person , or getting the other person to set up the room and whispering in ear.

Me too, I reckon my wife would be good at it but wouldn’t really work with my bad acting and romance spoiling words

Dont think my OH could stay in character. I might suggest something, but if its not normal activity then its me in charge. Im loving all the ideas though…
