Hey everyone, wow I haven't been on here in ages!
My boyfriend is in the army and has been deployed. One month down, five to go! I love sending him little parcels of goodies and writing letters and it's coming up to his birthday so I want to do something special.
I want to keep the fire burning, due to limited contact we haven't really talked about sex at all. We've never really done sexting or phone sex. I've sent him little messages saying I want him but nothing more than that and he's said nothing about it in return. It is a worry that our sex life won't be the same when he gets back and I want him to still want me!
I want to send him some erotic pictures as a birthday treat but don't know the best way to go about it.
The internet there is pretty shit so I worry about emailing them in case they don't load up and he's not really on his computer that much.
I included some photos of us in a parcel I sent him and he really seemed to like it and put them up around his desk. I think sending them in hard copy will be a lot more personal and sexy and he'll be able to get them out for a peek whenever he wanted without having to load up his computer.
But... Where on earth would I get them printed? My local Sainsburys does an instant printing service but what if someone saw or the machine broke whilst I was using it?! I don't have a printer at home that does will do photos.
Strictly speaking you're not supposed to send any pornographic images in the post. But I was thinking if I put them in a sealed envelope within his birthday card... would that be so bad?!
I know that you guys are always full of good ideas, any advice on the sort of photos to send and how to send them would be amazing! xx

I worked away from home for a long time but not as long as an army deployment. I did research jobs for about 2 months at a time for a while and my OH would send me the odd sexy picture via text message/MMS. I loved it! I think you are right, hard copy photos would be very nice and prob the best way to do it. As Jenni says you can use an on line printers to save embarrassment but you could also think about printing them ur self. A mid-range set of glossy paper and an average printer may do.
If your concerned about sending pornographic material, perhaps star by sending a few pics of you looking sexy in a nice outfit instead on anything to heavy, when you know they get to him safely you could consider something ruder if wanted.

Recommend snapfish highly upload order to your home and then send it on only ever you see them and the printer happy days , you could send it as a jigsaw puzzle and send him a little piece every time you write to keep him guessing , very fun to do .
Would an online company mind printing pictures like that? It says no pornographic images but I'm not exactly planning to be completely starkers, it would be tasteful. Probably wouldn't even show my boobs. I'm a member of photobox already but if you've already had good results with snapfish I'll use them :)
I really don't think that they're going to be found out if they're in an envelope inside an envelope. And I usually just send him food which they aren't going to get suspicious about at customs.
My printer is absolutely rubbish I don't think it would handle photographs, and I'm too skint to buy a proper one x

I didn't really think of online printing companies as I thought they would reject the pictures. I don't really care if someone at a company sees them because they don't know me. Whereas if I went to Sainsburys it's guaranteed someone I know would come up to say hello and I'd have to throw myself infront of the screen to prevent them seeing!
I'm really excited about doing this now. Have managed to find my tripod in the attic so I'll be able to take some good shots with my camera. Don't feel like I have very much to look forward to over the next couple of months so this will definitely keep me busy and happy for a few days :)

I had a 'friend' out there a few years ago, and I sent hard copy pics no problem, but what I did do as well was sent a disc with pics on so he could load it on to his computer that way... and I sent a memory stick which was wrapped in a pair of my knickers, he liked that very, very much :)
Love KF's idea about the jigsaw too, however knowing how long the post can sometimes take if he's at a FOB, the frustration could be massive haha!
Enjoy doing it and am sure whatever you will do he will love. My 'friend' used to say to me the fact that I had gone to all that effort for him was amazing, so am sure your BF will feel the same :)
Hire a photographer to do a photoshoot of you made up like a sexy 1940s pin-up girl, just like the photos that all the soldiers would carry around during the Second World War. It would be really neat, and generally these people will print the photos for you themselves, so you'd only need to post it off afterwards.

I would LOVE to do a photoshoot and definitely will someday but I really don't have the money at the moment

If you find the right photographer they might be willing to do it for free... providing they can use some of the images in their portfolio... it just depends on whether you are comfortable with that.
Haha I wouldn't mind that at all as long as I looked good in them! I'll have a look around.

Gimp is free (Its not like it sounds...lol) it stands for "Generic Image Manipulation Program". Its basically exactly the same as photoshop, but its free.

DDD I do boudiour shoots which are tasteful shots and I have used snapfish to print the pictures no problem its art, as long as your not flashing your hairy mary you will be fine I promise . Good luck he will love it x

Brilliant idea! My OH did something similar while I was working abroad for a few months. A mutual friend of ours was a photographer so it was easier to get her to take the pics rather than have to strip in front of a complete stranger. They were well recieved when they arrived! (And I wondered what she and the photographer had been up to too! ;))
Don't think any photo developer would flinch at, or reject, any photos (unless illegal). So what if someone sees you naked... if you are worried about that, possibly think twice of sending it to an army camp...eh???
Haha it's not the people seeing me naked that bothers me as long as it's not someone I know! I trust that he'll take care of them when he receives them. He's not the type of guy to show his mates and... well if he does then at least I'll look hot in them!
Just to offer a couple of alternatives wheels, DS Colour Labs are a little bit more expensive but the quality of their prints is *absolutely* fantastic, I've also heard good things (strangely) about Aldi's photographic service too.
As for photograph editing, the GIMP will be way overkill for your needs, and can be rather complex (more so I found than photoshop). For a very good free very easy to use photo tool use faststone image viewer :)
