I wanted to touch up on your point here because you sre so darn right.
Some of the most judgemental people I have ever met have been Christians, particularly ones who go to church and look down on those of use who don’t. I left the church because I felt I wasn’t “good enough”; I later learned it was the hypocrisy that drove me away, not God himself. I now worship in private, free of the judgement of others.
A relationship with and obedience to God is core to Christianity, not where we go - or who we are with - to worship him.
