@KinkyMira, it’s amazing how quick things get superseded by new technology, kids nowadays are totally digital oriented.
Wolverhampton Civic Hall? I saw Tina Turner there in '84. Right down the front, I was. What a blowtorch!
Gosh @Melody1 yeah love that one…the lyrics are fab…
Lots of the tracks to classics would be banned now. Shame too…
Think Ghost Town by The Specials is still fab and the lyrics still fit up to the present day…
Ghost town - an anthem for the corona virus generation
Do you remember the good old days before the Ghost town
I gouged my name into the wood on the balcony around 1980, around 2015 it was still there! The Civic had been shut for 5 years now for renovation, council incompetence and escalating costs have ensured it’s still shut. It would likely have been cheaper to demolish and rebuild. Such a shame for a world class venue.
I get furious when I’m watching a TV drama set in vinyl or 78 days, and a character puts the arm down …on the wrong side of the disc, so it’s rotating towards the stylus, thus ruining both stylus and groove!
I used to get my stylus’s from Beatties a fine Wolves store, sadly gone!
Mine takes an hour from start to finish…but I do love my hair.
Feel your pain @VixenViolet
An hour id love mines to take an hour
it takes the hairdresser nearly that and shes a pro. Full treatment at home properly sectioned (dried and straightened) heading for the 90 min mark. 2 hours plus if I curl it instead
knackered by the time its done
I love drying (other people’s) hair. I think there a thread about it somewhere. Gently pulling the comb through to tease the knots out. the love smooth way it starts to feel. So rewarding
mmmm
I wish i had hair!
Never straightened mine…dread to think how long it would take if I did…
ditto is the word of the night
My kids are mixed race, you think you guys have probs drying!
Now imagining @CurvyJilly’s lustrous black curly hair!
Its naturally loose curls if I air dry it but it can literally take all day and then I look like I’ve stuck my fingers in the socket
For some reason i’m thinking Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time video!
I wash mine and leave it to dry naturally, I haven’t got the patience to dry and style it!
To be fair, when I leave it and don’t brush it, I get ringlet curls, and if I brush it I get waves so it’s win-win really.
Speaking of hair dressers and beer. I’m drinking Blonde, but no bunny. From the Bradfield Brewery on the edge of Steel Town
I just wash and go!
