The Lounge

@PKH - Hooray, I’m glad you love it. Still, by far, my favourite bullet and small enough to fit in most toys that require a bullet but come with a horrible buzzy one that requires batteries. I always switch them out for my Mantric first thing!

Have you considered going on a water meter? I pay roughly £250 a year, 2 in the house and we don’t skimp on use.

In N.I we don’t get a water bill, our water is paid for in our rates/council tax payment. Mine is £55 & is only paid for 10 months from April to Jan. Small bonus for living in Cinderellaland

Thank you @steve19 … I have to cope with Pen tonight first, she isvisiting relatives for the weekend and usually wants a helping before she goes… its all down to luck, its impossible to refuse her, but I want to be randy for him too… I think nature will find a way because his is real, while hers is plastic/rubber… Thank you again Lover :kissing_heart: xx

Thank you very much @Craig1234 x

Yes we have, I think we’d save a fortune, our water use is low.

House is on lead pipes and I wonder if they would refuse to connect us up though ?

I wouldn’t think it would make a difference. The water company sent a booklet with a questionnaire to fill in regarding your usage, roughly how many times a week you flush the loo, shower, bathe, use the washer, garden hose etc. I filled mine in with a slight exaggeration and the results showed a huge saving.
The deal was you had the meter fitted and if after a year you didn’t see a saving you could have it removed, if not it was to stay permanently.
As an example, my mom is on a meter and pays about £200 a year, her neighbour isn’t and pays about £500.

That’s really cheap in comparison. We are just a couple in a small 2 bed semi. Both out at work and probably use the washer once a week (don’t wear clothes at home much !) Shower every other day etc.

No idea why it is so dear with United Utilities, must be dearest in the country.

In wales our water has gone up over 30% this year from £849 to well over £1300 - but yet they say it’s a not for profit company- however the CEO gets paid over £850k a year (plus bonus) - just a joke

Hi all,
Sorry to read about your Council Tax etc.
Ours is €250 a year (approx) and our water bill is €25 a quarter. When we left the UK, our Council Tax was over £1100…that was six years ago.
We do have to pay a Community Charge where we live, but that is for the gardens, pool etc so that everything is spick and span.

I have just been to our local bar for a pool night :pool_8_ball: and the table cost me €5 for four hours and I spent €11,60 on four beers and Pringles.
I’m not gloating, but I just don’t think I could afford living in the UK now!

Are you all packed @batjamboree?
You’ll be on your way this weekend, won’t you?

I bet you and Pen are looking forward to tomorrow Mrs @Wurger?

The appendage will be arriving soon :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I have a bath every day rather than a shower, because I work in relatively cold conditions and like to warm myself through, so i’m sure you’ll save money with a meter.

Time to let them fail and then renationalise the services of the UK again. Possible solution!

Well…it’s all gone VERY quiet in the @Wurger household…
I’m sure that must mean that Mrs W, Pen, Mr W and his appendage…must be, erh, busy?? :face_with_hand_over_mouth::heart_eyes:
