It’s so satisfying when you know you’re right. Between 2023-2025 I had 3 poly partners: one abusive (above mentioned), one tried to cheat (he wanted me to forgive and forget after they didn’t show up, I dumped him out of principle), and then a couple who insisted we respect their boundaries but completely disregard our own, then tried to manipulate me when I stood firm. After that I said “never again” to polyamory, but I’m now with someone who adores me, respects me and my husband and understands how important things like respect, consent and communication are. It’s so nice knowing I was never the problem, and I can look back on the past three years and see what I’ve survived.

I completely agree. It’s horrifying to think I almost lost mine to a player. Luckily he cheated on me before I did so I left him for dust and later gave it to the man I married.

For reference: I do think a reminder from Brenna (either in a post or pinned post, that if members see something, please don’t be afraid to use the flag button. It only needs 5 for a post to be hidden.

I do know it’s in the rules, but I feel not many people look at them or read them in detail.
