Definitely, the sense of selfish entitlement from some people is astounding! As if the virus won’t affect them if they get it, never mind any old or vulnerable family members they may kill.

Anyone else get a little down around this time of the day (4pm ish)? It’s as the weather becomes dark, plus it’s cold and wet outside. My OH is at his place tonight and I’m at mine due to working tomorrow morning so being alone probably doesn’t help either. The forum will be keeping me company this evening.

I quite like drawing the curtains and putting the heating and lights on, it’s cosy. Not keen on the dark cold mornings though!

Well that’s us sorted. Not worth getting together for a few hours given the driving involved. In a way, I’m pleased the decision was made for us.

I have to disagree. We have followed the rules, worn masks at work and school, washed hands and sanitised all the time, sanitised EVERYTHING that comes through the door, not socialised, avoided people and shops and we have still been hit by Covid-19. This new strain is 70% more transmittable than the original strain. Meaning it’s affecting a lot more people a lot quicker.

Just wanted to send a little love to anyone else affected by the announcement today. It’s really, really rubbish for lots of people. I personally am absolutely gutted, sad and angry. So to anyone else, lots of love :two_hearts:

@SexInTheCity I feel so so sorry for so many people.

I feel blessed and extremely lucky that I like in one of the only Tier 1 areas in England but this is going to be so hard for so many.

I agree with you @Blonde_Bunny so many people will be effected by the new changes as for us my oh’s parents have not seen their grandkids all this year at all and we are both in their 2 but they at in the at risk group so it’s not worth the risk for us . Hope the vaccine :syringe: comes to us all very soon I for 1 will be taking it. Sorry for all those who have been effected by the new changes :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::muscle::kissing_heart:

Spare a thought for us as we have to try to explain to the Mother in Law why she cannot now come to us on Christmas Day,she will just see this as we do not want her here and not that the rules have changed.

We are quite lucky in that our support bubble includes the in-laws and my mom. So i will see my mom Xmas day before she has my siblings and nephew round for dinner. We will be having the in-laws round for dinner. Boxing Day it will just be me and my OH chilling out in peace rather than visiting other family, which will be nice after the pre-Christmas week at work!

We are now in tier 4 so our rules have totally changed we were here support bubble but now she has a grandchild living with her the rules regarding the support bubble go out the window. The real problem is she just does not get it she just honestly will think it is just us being mean.
