I remember reading he wanted to call an album “Liquor and Poker” (say it aloud) and the record company said no! Mind you that was after allowing “Slide it In”
Then there was “Come and Get It” album with the snake’s mouth resembling female genitalia, which Woolworths censored! But the missed the meat and two veg hidden in the snakes coils!

Just spent some time on YouTube music and listened to Personal Jesus, Tainted Love & Sweet Dreams, and can’t really say I feel like I’ve been missing out on anything.
I saw via Wikipedia that their back catalogue is huge, not sure why I’ve not been aware of them though. I’d heard their name but that’s all, maybe a bit too out of the mainstream ?
