šŸ’Œ Ultimate Valentines Day!

Fancy hotel or lodge with new lingerie is the dream but usually just the same as any other night.

Some surprise flowers for my partner, a meal out and about and then just relaxing would be a nice valentines day.

If money was no option

  • I would plan an early delivery of flowers,
Cook a breakfast for both of us,
Take her to our favourite spa for a well earned day of rest
Have a meal in their onsite restaurant.
Go back to the room where she will get an all over body massage, leading to a bit of oral and let her rest with a book.

If we had to do a low budget one

  • I would let her sleep in, while I went out for flowers and fresh bread.
Come back and make her breakfast in bed and let her read a little.
Go for a walk along the seafront, grab a coffee, then head home for a massage and let her soak in the bath.
Then when out, a little dressing up and a cheeky game leading to all sorts of fun.

I think ours would be head out for an expensive meal, probably Italian, a nice bottle of bubbles followed by cocktails at the local bar and then heading home to watch a romantic movie, followed by a mutual massage session and wherever that leadsā€¦
Sadly though, the reality is with two teenagers in the house, we might get the meal in takeaway form, sit and watch reality TV and then hope the kids disappear upstairs on their headphones to play online with their friends so we can have some alone time!

I find some of these responses really sad. How much people feel obliged to jump through hoops for a marketing event. It says nothing about a relationship if you decide not to do Valentineā€™s day, but individual reactions to not meeting expectations says a lot. Such a shame.

@Goth_Girl I wouldnā€™t do it on Valentine Day but for a random get away that sounds truly perfect!

Iā€™ll simply be making my wife a nice meal, chilling out together, and having some fun in the bedroom :slightly_smiling_face::heart:

Usually Valentineā€™s Day for me is when I get depressed for being single but in a ideal dream world Iā€™d spend it with a partner at a romantic location like a luxury treehouse where could have quality time to freely enjoy sexual pleasures with them, explore new things maybe and in general make each other feel valued.

I put this in a thread last year but itā€™s still relevant for meā€¦

I havenā€™t had a partner for valentines day in many years, but I usually use it as an excuse to buy myself some fancy lingerie, get myself some gorgeous flowers and enjoy some good self-love time.

I know itā€™s very much a commercialised day, but Iā€™m also very much here for a little reminder that love is all around - whether thatā€™s from a partner, friends, family, or self. :two_hearts:

I agree its a bit commercialized. I try to go on a ski trip with the SO and friends. That way, either it being romantic or not, I end up with good company, drinks and hot tub!!! :bathtub:

We donā€™t really do the whole commercial thing but we do just try to spend a bit more time with each other and do little things which you would normally just pass on.
We also usually do a nice meal, again something out of the ordinary, which then normally leads to a bit of fun and frolics with some toys from here.

A day together without interruptions, a nice meal, a few drinks, some time together in the hot tub and a cosy evening in the bedroom. Or ideally a night away for the two of us would be lovelyā€¦

Iā€™d be happy with getting a pizza and watching some trashy TV. Just spend time with the wife and have a laugh. Perhaps open a bottle of wine.

I normally get her the biggest card they do on the website just for a laugh and I get ā€˜that lookā€™ every year

I spoil my OH with presents and book a nice restaurant. We donā€™t have a sex life and it just ends the same way as every other night.

As a married man with two kids, my ultimate day would simply be for someone else to look after the kids (and the dog!) and for us to be able to take our time enjoying each other across the course of the day, without the stresses and responsibilities of family life. Lingerie and a camera would be involved, as would lots of nice food all cooked by me and most probably a bottle of wine! If LH could arrange a babysitting and dogsitting service that would be great! :joy:

I think this yearā€™s Valentines Day will be a wash out as hubby is having the snip a few days before it!

But I love a homecooked meal in, with an ice cold bottle of bubbly, followed by a few sexy games and some passionate fun around the house :clinking_glasses: usually we donā€™t get much chance to have sex around the house because of the kids, but we usually get childcare for valentines so we have more options!
