Like I’ve tried talking to women on a friendly one and then cool some flirting starts its going good and the moment I admit yeah I think your Hot or whatever (I try be a little smoother but I’m quite the direct person) they then tend to be like NO im good it was fun chatting though this is like the past 5 chicks I sware I’m done with dating for the next 5 years I just dont get this shabiz
Point being is it the same for women sometimes and what do you guys do to help yourself in these situation
I remember getting on really well with a guy once, thought it was mutual. I asked him out, he rejected me and promptly never spoke to me again. Another guy tried to make me jealous, but when I asked him to stop and said that yes, I liked him too, he acted like I was crazy. Being rejected sucks, I get that.
On the other hand, however, there have been several times in my life when I’m just trying to be friendly and a guy gives me “the look”, you know the one? Utter adoration. Maybe I’m just trying to do something, be polite and not thinking remantically, It doesn’t matter, he’s looking at me like I fell from heaven.
If you’re being direct, that could be why. Some people like a direct approach, others will feel like you’re just trying to get laid. Maybe ask for their number to arrange another hangout instead of being direct. Best of luck.
If someone told me I was hot, I’d think all they wanted was sex and all the prior conversation was just a ploy. Especially if this was before we’d even met.
Obviously theres an attraction of some sort if you’re both matching or swiping or whatever. I don’t think it needs to be verbalised before you"ve even met them.
Ask to go for a date. Words are powerful and the ones you choose to use are very telling, eg hot vs beautiful.
But all that is partly why I’m no longer interested in a relationship. I haven’t met a man that has made me want to make room in my life for them. And unfortunately I’m not gay.
Ask both of my partners, my attitude to both of them when they approached me was pretty much “do you have a death wish?”. Both times I was out of failed relationships (and even very much against relationships, because I was hurting inside), so I’m beginning to think the answer might be “yes”. I love them both dearly though, even if sometimes they seem hellbent on dying by my hands
Maybe the approach is a little too strong. Nothing wrong with calming the chat down a bit (easier said than done sometimes).
My mate was hopeless at trying to chat people up, but once he started using dating sites got heaps of dates. One of them is now his wife and the only reason he got a first date was he was the only person not to send her a dick pic. Seemed to be the main reason he picked up so many dates on it.
You’ve reminded me of my husband. We dealt with some personal hardships and he looked at me, on the bus, and said “I suppose if we can get through this, we might as well get married”.
I don’t think I realised at that point what I’d agreed to, it just seemed like the logical conclusion
And yes, we did get through it, and it’s been 13 glorious years
Like when you tell the one you love that he’s a pain in the ass and he asks you to determine what kind of pain in the ass he is? Yeah, I’m feeling that way too
I hear that one too often, except my husband’s version is “and not as well as you do”. Gee, thanks I think? I don’t know if to take that as a compliment or not
