Sorry @SteelA1, that’s not good. I guess there are lots of people who find it hard to talk about stuff. I’ve always been the one friends talk to but I’m also lucky that I’ve now got friends who will listen too. I’ve got some to get drunk with too but they also know how to listen!

We’re always here when you want to talk, I don’t post as much at the moment because my moods are a bit variable but I know people here will cheer me up when I need a boost!

Waiting for the train to move, heading into work for a hectic day as trying to get sorted for a week’s leave from tomorrow, not the best day to also be having a two hour lunch for a colleagues birthday but it will be nice.

Have a good one @WillC ! I’ve taken a long weekend off but my cat has decided that I don’t get a lie in! I’m now enjoying a cup of tea with my cat in the sun :sun_with_face::cat2::teapot:

Enjoy your day @Very-Ape, my cat seems to have abandoned me for now, she’ll be back just as I’m ready to move!

Sorry your friends aren’t very supportive either @Alyssa646, glad you didn’t have to deal with them turning up at your door! Hope you’re feeling a bit brighter today x

Sounds fun @AmyA, enjoy your lunch and I hope you get your week off!

Have a good day @Floating_Fun_Guy :grinning:

Hope you have a nice day @AmyA :slightly_smiling_face:

Pretty much only 1 person I can talk too really and they’re so busy I don’t though as it’s not fair me dumping more on them! I know they’d listen no matter what though but I’d feel guilty as anything.
I like getting drunk don’t get me wrong but I can’t deal with working with a bad head and with working pretty much 7 days a week at the min apart from the rare day I’d rather not spend that with my head in a bin haha

@Kitty-Cat01 Hope you’re ok too though! Likewise though my ears are always open and I’m here if anyone wanted to chat :ok_hand:

I feel like I did my mates a huge disservice, I definitely reckon I could speak to them like I’m sureo calling right now saying I need yous they would come. I’m not used to banging on about stuff in real life it’s way easier online

Knocking the doors of local residents to ask is it ok if I dig up their garden and reroute a river for a few months. But promising them the contractor will have put everything back the way it was :grimacing: exciting times…

@SteelA1 - Your situation, with all the stress you’re under and having nobody you feel able to open up to, is VERY dangerous. You cannot just carry on trying to keep all the plates spinning while smiling for your mates and toughing it out - that’s a fast-track to any number of bad outcomes: stroke, heart disease, chronic neurological ailments, depression… you name it.

Do yourself a favour, will you? Put this number in the address book on your phone: 116 123 - make up a fake contact name for it if you like.

It’s the Samaritans.

I’m not joking, man. Never been more serious. They’re not just for suicides or people in desperate trouble (although frankly, having read your posts I think you are bloody close to being at that brink). They’re there to listen to whatever you need to say, no matter how embarrassing, extreme or just plain mundane, whoever you are, at any time, as often as you like, without judgement. If you want, they may even be able to put you in touch with professional counselling/therapy services.

Just put the number in your phone. Deal?
