I know right - I love this place!!
@woody8519uk
I’m not currently working so it sure gives me something to do with my day ![]()
It’s actually even easier than that. You pretty much just need to log in for 15 days (not even in a row), post three or so replies, like one thing, and read an hour’s worth of stuff. Super easy. ![]()
@Ian_Chimp oh I didn’t know it was that simple, I think it was the 15 days that kept me waiting.
@Littleblondechick . That documentary is so indicative of how so many people that have been drawn in to or already have celebrity status with reality programs etc, become so obsessed with how they are perceived by the public. It messes with normal rational thought and people who crave and thrive on approval can become so vulnerable if their public persona is damaged.
I don’t like this aspect of modern social culture.
I know @Iwill but it also shows that her mental health was fragile from early on, well before she was in the limelight. I can relate to her mental health and it would definitely be harder in the limelight to deal with amongst the intrusion and criticism.
It shows that people even those close can moss the signs amd even knkw what to do in certain situations. Very very sad.
You are definitely right with regards to the celebrity status. Its very harmful for those with underlying mental heath issues.
If you have a thicker skin it woukd be easier to deal wit or even ignore.
Chilling listening to music, conversing with a good friend ![]()
Chilling out, trying to recharge (very tired today for some reason) before i go play stellaris
@Littleblondechick. You are absolutely right. I just think there is too much consideration on ratings, rather than the welfare of people who maybe vulnerable. We are supposed to be living in a more caring and considerate society, but I have sincere doubts about that.
I hope you are feeling inwardly stronger than you may have felt in the past, as the programme obviously resonated with you.
Just finished work and heading off to do the school run ! Yeah me
Working online, several teams meetings coming up.
Just got back from the school run, now browsing on here
Office to myself. So lets see what that brings.
I agree @Iwill its very sad. Its not a good industry at all. The be kind status just a hype.
And yes thank you. I’m doing good but it did strike a cord with me ![]()
Time to relax a little as its been a bit of a hectic week here, our street is part of upgrade plan in the area to upgrade all the gas lines in the streets and to every property. With massive holes and a pile of dirt 15 feet high right outside my house its been a fun week, not to mention the added water leak that was created while digging.
Finally we had our gas line fitted and luckily they managed to push the new pipe inside the old one so there was no need to dig up my drive.
The next big job is going to involve Openreach installing full fibre in the area so it’ll probably end up with digging everywhere up again lol
Ohh what a ball ache for you. Glad they didn’t have to dig your drive up mind
Just raised a glass of Sloe Gin to my old mate who has just passed away
We had that a few years ago, a right old balls up, constantly hitting water pipes, and having to get them back for shoddy tarmac on footpath after they filled in the holes.
In bed, idly browsing this place cos I can’t sleep. Dunno why!
Entering (snigger) this which is kindly put together every week by @Ian_Chimp. Why not have a go.
Working online.
