should i feel guilty?.. that’s me too…
sat in bed, coffee about to be ready, just slowly waking to the grey day outside
(yeah well, still gotta open the curtains)
Also have this nasty habit of turning my bed into a desk and continuing work regardless of being able to chill.
Have a good day at work, all those who have to brave the mornin chill… big ups all the homebodies this morning. mwwah.x

edit: ouch @Cuffed … now i feel a bit guilty

Relocated back to my home office to work from my bed as the carpet is done

Have a good day all :kissing_heart:

@Gylf48 true if you can to avoid using your bed as a desk. Have you a place out of your bedroom that you can work from ?

As for those in the UK and coming into you winter, I feel your pain. In Australia we are in spring now and in my town it’s rained for the past 3 days. Feels like I live in the UK haha

@MsSubExperimenter i hope you manage to achieve what you need to today.

Keep warm

lovely MsSub … good mix of both. nice to see you won’t all disappear during office hours

@Cuffed i know…it’s baaad! I have a massive desk out there too. Got two spare rooms upstairs doing nothing now, just waiting to be turned into an office… But other stuff races in front (gettin into thick of a new business plan), so lappie gotta be to hand at all times… probably went a bit far when the printer came in too… but it’s back in it’s rightful place now. [why do i feel like i just got told off, and i’m immediately gonna ā€˜be a good girl’ and do as i’m told?]… yeah right :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Yup, definitely that Autumn chill now… start to crave the nz sun. We had downpours this morning too…nice to wake to the sound of rain… cleansing. You need the rain over there though, to stand any chance of surviving the summer, realistically. the more healthy n green everything can get before it’s too hot, the better

@Gylf48 as wasn’t telling you off  and please don’t think so either. I’ve read studies that show using your bed for work confuses the mind eventually, makes the brain think bed is work. Bed should equal sex or rest.

I do recall you mentioning about a new business plan, I wish you every success in this new adventure. May your dreams come true.

However please use a desk from now on ok

@Cuffed sorry woke in a playful mood.
I hear ya… just doin this bit… [makes mental note to upload pic sat at desk later].
You’re right, been slippin into bad habits since joining the dating site. hehe. With the time difference, very much burning the candle at both ends too.

[Pulls out procrastination planner… makes notes… tackle fun n get on with the important stuff] … But… I can’t help it… It’s the liiight

edit: and apologies for being a bit one tracked on that atm… it is so at the forefront of everything. Song i used to listen to has the lyric… close your eyes, go catch your dreams…
Keepin em wide open…but definitely having the dream as reality this time… And there’s no man to tear it down or stop it starting this time. Definitely keepin em separate irl, for sure

Currently an hour into my shift. Routine covid test today :mask: but hopefully otherwise not a too stressful shift. Nice ease back into work after my 10 days off!

@Gylf48 I’m sorry if I missed the playfulness of our chat, please accept my apologies.

I just wish sometimes we could live video chat each other on this page so you can see that I’m not trying to be a grumpy bugger lol.

You have peaked my interest about this alleged photo you are posting though  and don’t be sorry for being one tracked either. This convo is distracting me at present for which im glad.

Sometimes I forget the time difference so I guess we all burn the midnight oil at times.

@For_Your_Eyes_Only_x we have mandatory temp checks every shift and that becomes ā€œnormalā€ after some time. I just hope what is occurring now eventually goes away.

I miss how life use to be pre COVID

I’ve found that I’m certainly missing elements of pre Covid life, but there are some things I don’t miss and I’ve decided I’m not going back to. This time has brought a re-evaluation I suppose. Friends who I thought were good friends have disappeared, and those I thought weren’t have come to the fore.
I have to admit I am enjoying the slower pace of life - so much less racing around.

@KinkyMira i miss not being able to jump on a plane and go on holidays. Id love to go back and see more of Europe.

@Cuffed you’re so right, video would be good…but then you’d just sit distracted by my saucy giggle. Can be quite infectious, i’m told… but very distracting if you trying to concentrate on work.
Peaked your interest eh! … does that mean i have to follow through…can’t just tease?
Really do need to get off my cross-legged, comfy, butt and get it in gear then… soon… still early…can waste at least another hour… and definitely another coffee’s worth

I know ya wasn’t grumpin… came with good intent, i know you mean well… cos i know why you said it…i’d have said the same to anyone else… but you know how that goes aye.lol. guess if we can’t video call, have to use more emoji’s for clues to tone, etc

Can i just say too…loving you all right now…nice at breakfast round ere innit

@KinkyMira so wanted to like your post, but it still won’t let me

@Gylf48 spot on about a video chat function however we are stuck here using this medium. I do enjoy a decent laugh and find it helps improve my mood.

Yes it has peaked my interest and given that you’ve mentioned it, I think you should follow through

Breakfast time for you, currently 7.51pm here on the east coast of Australia. What are you having to eat ?

PS, glad to see another coffee drinker here. I love my coffee but that also comes with being a shift worker

To be honest there’s much about the changes covid has brought about that i am hoping sticks. Actually helped me quell other anxiety if i’m totally honest. Good to be able to justifiably get people instantly out of your personal space, with little argument these days, and not so many looks like ā€˜i’m the freak’… The only bit i’m not liking is the international travel prevention. I miss my grandchildren. Was lucky to be out there in March/April as lockdown hit. In fact I wudda been the first the consulate designed the new loans to get brits home for… but lucky seats came down from 20 0dd thousand to just 4, so i didn’t need the assistance in the end…but consulate were amazing. i still gotta fight the travel agents for refunds too (more to spend on sexy undies wen it comes back.lol).
My newest grandson has his first birthday early in March… I have not seen him since he was 6wks old. I WILL be at his first birthday! Regardless covid and forced expensive quarantine. Once i book the flights (my xmas present to myself) there’s no turnin back… And this time, hoping for 8 gloriously full weeks in our southern hemisphere

sorry @Cuffed … appear to have been distracted myself… but at least i’m half dressed and almost in gear now. heading out to desk shortly. but, you may have to wait til your breakfast for further distractions.lol.
Hope the rest o the shift hasn’t been too taxing without me.lol. totally lost track o time to be honest

Coffee… yeah, the one HUGE disappointment of NZ. Their coffee!.. is not… it’s so lame it may as well be tea! I mean wtf. Sending a dolce gusto machine and hondorus pods ahead next time. 6 wks on italian lamo stuff, had me switchin back to tea (do love the breakfast tea my daughter in law has)

@Gylf48 firstly I can empathise with those whose life has been turned up side down. I would seriously loose my mind if I was locked down.

As for the travel or dare I say lack of travel, I hate it. At least twice a year I’d fly overseas for a holiday but not been able to since I returned from my 50th in February.

Im glad you’re no longer distracted and please make sure you get your work done
Otherwise smacks on your bum for not doing you work
My shifts going ok thus far and only hope it stays this way.

I did find one of my coffee brands is available in NZ - Auckland,Christchurch and Dunedin. This same brand is also in Japan, Singapore and also in London itself. Id mention the brand but don’t want to get in trouble

I love tea also and enjoy a nice earl grey myself, but will also drink English Breakfast
