Will be checking out a few of them. Been introduced to some unfamiliar decent rock too… So I’ll be back with a few when back on laptop.
Was missing too much here so now you all on my mobile. Yay. (For me at any rate.lol)
Oh absolutely! I was a bit too young to fully appreciate some of their earlier stuff but loved Love Is Like Oxygen on TOTP. I’ve got a compilation of their best hits.
Spotify has got loads of Sweet stuff
@Onlyones and @wildflower you can hear how much Sweet have influenced Def Leppard, especially in the vocal harmonies.
@WillC I was thinking the same. I love the way the Def Leppard have covered some of the Sweet stuff too, they haven’t deviated at all from the original and it still sounds amazing.
Very true! ![]()

The man who sold the world— David Bowie
Western Promise— Ultravox
I think I mentioned it before, but the Steven Wilson 5.1 mix of the Vienna album is amazing!
Yes I must get that . I found a track on you tube called Ukraine . Recorded in 1986 by Warren Billy and Chis before Midge joined the sessions. Midge didn’t like it — Warren got booted out —Something they all all now regret— but that track is better than the whole U- VOX album put together. The Mighty Warren Cann was sorely missed
Yes, the John Foxx stuff passed me by, but the Midge Ure era was more my taste!
I do like the John Fox era especially Systems of Romance . You can see Vienna was a logical progression
Ok intriguing @wildflower so I’m listening to it lol
I’ve had The Riddle by Nik Kershaw going round and around in my head all day. So I’ve got it on repeat ![]()
@KinkyMira I was like that with Space Oddity by David Bowie so had to play it repeatedly to get it out!
