I’m old too, but a few years ago i ripped virtually every cd i own, literally hundreds of them. It took about a month doing it whilst watching tv after work. Now they’re on a 64gb micro sd card in both my phone and tablet, and on usb sticks for in the car. So my phone can be on shuffle of everything, a shuffle of a particular artist or my own custom playlists, love it! 
I have the Planet Rock app on my phone too, great classic and modern rock station.

I listened to “Shout at the devil” by Motley Crue and thought about guitar hero.
OMG i used to be addicted to it, to the point my finger tips got blisters! I still have nightmares about trying to get all the way through Hangar 18 by Megadeth! 
Had Rock Band too! Nowadays i don’t have any gaming systems, which is probably a good thing!
