This is an update to my post much earlier in this thread.

This is another topic really, but began wearing leisure kilts (not female skirts !) around ten years ago for going out and stuff. More gothic or steam-punk style with pockets or a decorative chain with a t-shirt & trainers rather than full highland dress with the sporran etc

It evolved from needing to sometimes wear a simple naturist cover up. You can’t easily put shorts on over walking boots when out in the countryside and Mr Angry appears, but can quickly deploy a velcro wrap if needed.
