Which lube for the wife?

So, my wife has always been put off with lube...in some ways for vaginal we don't need it but it can help,

recently we have added anal fingering, beads etc and spit just doesn't cut it, so I bought some of this - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17607

it works well but she complains that the lube gets near her pussy and she looses sensation and that's a bit of a passion killer!

can anyone recommend a decent lube that won't mess about with things down there for ass if vagina but is also a decent lube!!

cheers all!

Hello Richy,

These are our favourite lubes we'd really recommend them.![](upload://h7LJ67OOrR57VDYrj5ZEwwHAfLG.gif)

Liquid silk. Every time.

Liquid Silk is a really good all-round lube that we use often, but we find it lacks something in anal use, and our go-to anal lube is this:

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28339 which is perfectly safe for all-round use too

I find that lube makes everything slippery and I can't feel friction and lose sensation that way, is it the same for your wife?

How about this?

You can control how thick or runny it is so you could make it thick so it will stay in the right place. x

But I think it will be difficult to keep the lube away from her vagina since the anus and vagina are so close. What about a tingling lube or warming? That would help with the losing of sensation hopefully. Xx

Sliquid Sassy is nice and thick and stays where you put it, and I've heard good things about the Lovehoney Discover one too, apparently it's really thick but useful for vaginal stuff as well.

You could also maybe try an oil-based lube? They don't really 'run' like water-based ones do, they sort of sink in and feel more natural - although you definitely can't use oil-based lubes with condoms.

The lovehoney anal lubricant. I would be careful using the lubricant you currently have as it's silicone based and might react with some toys that you have and make things uncomfortable for her.

The lube you have is bound to reduce sensation as that's what it's for but Any lube used anally can make it's way to the vagina as they're so close, just wipe up any excess lube

I use the Lovehoney Anal Lubricant and It works for me, also nice and cheap!

Liquid silk, Maximus are both great x

Honestly, my favourite is tesco's own brand. £3 a bottle, same size as durex and if anything I'd say it's slightly better. It is waterbased though, so not necessarily the best for anal (although I like it) it's the best I've found for not drying out or gumming up - in part because it is quite thin. It comes in plain or strawberry (although sadly not tingle as far as I've found!)

I think the problem might just be that particular lube seems to have a kind of numbing effect from the reviews, and there are quite a lot of anal lubes that do that to reduce discomfort, maybe just looking for a more standard (added bonus, probably cheaper!) lube would help. While I personally do like tingle type lubes (as someone above recommended trying) I will warn it's a double edged sword - it makes me more sensitive, it made an ex numb and flaccid. I think it's luck of the draw who it works for.

If you are looking for something that lasts, is super slippy and doesnt break the bank, this is a very good lube for even more extreme anal with large toys or fisting but should not be used for vaginal . http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30611. It is very easy to mix to whatever consistency you like and is clear and oudourless when mixed so looks like any other clear water based lube. It also cleans up very easily.

Sliquid Sassy/Sliquid Organics Natural Gel FTW

Thanks everyone for the advice I will take a look at the options!

I have the FSOG anal lube and I like it.
