If I've been looking at porn online, I always "delete history" afterwards, as you would. Except, I must have forgotten once, because when type in www in the main err, taskbar(?), it comes up with www.youporn.com. A bit embarassing! Can't work out how to remove this - but I'm hoping someone will know. Seems like the right place to ask!
You can alter your settings so it doesn't autocomplete on the taskbar when you start typing, or download a programme called ccleaner and do that each night....
Not used Firefox but a quick google search of remove autofill firefox gave me some anwsers. They were older posts but I doubt much has changed or will at least give you an idea of how to do it
easier not to type in as actual web address, just go to google, then type you porn and then when finished delete all history and cookies and temp files and thats it
in safari there is a privacy browser setting where it remembers nothing you type in, web addresses, searches, passwords etc etc
I imagine there must be a privacy mode in Firefox. As someone pointed out online porn is not the only reason people want privacy. Many people do their online banking in this mode as well.
Mozilla does have privacy browsing, you can do this either on a session by session basis or you can set it permanently to privacy so all browsing is done 'in private'. I do this, never had an issue.
If you go into history - show all history - search for the name of the website, then you can delete them indivisually using the delete button without having to remove your whole history. Don't forget cookies ect also.
I use chrome and it's got a setting called "Incognito" (Ctrl+Shift+N from within Chrome will open an incognito window) which does the same as the the privacy browsing Big Poppa mentioned above.
Ctrl+Shit+P in IE will open an "In Private" browsing window which does the same thing. Most browsers have this feature hidden away in them somewhere. Great for not having to cover your tracks by ousting your cookies and history every time you finish browsing porn!
I have a sneaky way to do this. If anyone sits at my PC it looks like Windows Internet Explorer is my browser and this is what opens if you click links etc. in Emails. My family merrily use Windoes IE with no problems at all with some very hefty locks added to maintain their security.
But I am viewing porn using Firefox and the only way to launch Firefox is a single Icon in the accessories folder renamed Games.

I did a similar thing to maintain my blog on my laptop, just in case a friend wanted to use the internet. I used Opera/Chrome for internet, and had a version of Firefox renamed to Check for updates and with the icon changed too. Very sneaky!
