What’s that for? I never have blood test checks
I love dragging my Flogger behind a pinwheel…just saying. Oh, and Flogging with a pair of Vampire Gloves is fun too.
I don’t think so, not for RSD (the chronic pain kind). When I did my foot in the first time they sent me home with four ibuprofen and some basic advice! I might as well have taken bloomin’ Smarties!
I’m sure you do ![]()
Duality is everything!

Is that a hairbrush on my bed?
Oops! Clumsy me. I didn’t tidy up before I went out ![]()
You know you shouldn’t be allowed within 100 yards of a hairbrush…well maybe six inches would be ok
Exactly. How else would I maintain my luscious locks?
…yeah..exactly what I was thinking.
It is supposed to block pain signals but it didn’t work, I know how long an episode usually lasts, so I just deal with it.
DON’T do it again I’m guessing
No, first aid advice ![]()
Though if I’d kicked the girl in the face instead, would that have been preferable to me narrowly breaking my foot? ![]()
Pain and pleasure both ignite adrenaline in the body so other than the mind registering it differently, it’s bases of the same thing ![]()
Why do we enjoy pain?
Some people enjoy pain because it releases or triggers chemicals such as dopamine (the gotta have it chemical) and endorphins.
Many have heard of dopamine. It causes many humans to want things… to gamble, to eat sweets etc. It helps people go for rewards.
The body and brain release chemicals to try to help ward off the pain we are receiving and those chemicals may also cause pleasure in some people.
When I step back and think about it from the 30,000 foot view, to me it’s combination of several things transpiring at once or in close proximity to each other.
We crave or “want” some things and while we like and want those things, it’s the feel good chemicals inside of us that we want or that we are chasing.
Dopamine, endorphins, adrenaline.
So, there are real chemicals cursing around in us. We want, crave and go after “rewards”.
Some folks chase heightened sensations without real or substantial damage.
I know VERY LITTLE about Asian culture or things so I’d have to Google this to even be able to say anything other than the little I know, which is all I’m going to say now.
There is Ying and Yang going on with this too. Pleasure and pain. Opposite but complementary forces.
So to me, those who like pain are feeling the effects of many things happening at once or close to each other.
Even if the sensations are inside of us, like different, multiple chemicals cursing through us along with the physical acts being done to us and us wanting or craving certain things, the “reward”, it’s better when many things are happening simultaneously to us.
One nice thing being done to us is good, but if two things are being done to us or three things are being done to us at the same time, that’s even more sensations we are experiencing and dealing with it, going through.
We are all different of course, some don’t like or want any. Others do, but in smaller or lesser degrees. Some do but only on certain parts of their body etc.
As always, being safe is important, safe words, respect, consent etc.
