I don't think it's really possesive - it's just a relationship thing - I think the thought of another person having such intimacy with someone you love, whether it's a straight, bi, gay or whatever situation, is unpleasant for most. Just the way it is I suppose - if it wasn't there'd be a swingers club on every high-street!
