Adverts

I weirdly like the ones where they’re telling you to not press that button for the 1st 5 seconds then they say good or something just after, and that’s when i hit the skip button :joy:

That advert for teachers is doing my head in :man_facepalming: Seen it too many times and that definitely isn’t what the teachers were like when I was in school! :joy_cat:

The presentation software advert bugs me on multiple levels. 1st off, ‘enjoy presentations’? No, not happening. 2nd, why on earth would you only start your presentation 20 minutes before you have to do it? That’s asking for so many problems. And thirdly, there’s no way in hell that with no notice that many people would be free and willing to help on your presentation

Ok new one, the Beelivery advert. Why on earth would you put completely empty tubs back in the fridge (never mind tubs that appear to have been washed already too)? Also, i don’t know about everyone else but with how fast toast goes cold, i tend to get the butter and everything out 1st before making the actual toast so it has less time to go cold. The woman in the advert is holding rapidly cooling toast and yet it’s only then she realises there’s no butter?

you don’t have kids, Ace!
they put empty stuff back in the fridge, the cupboards or just leave in random locations about the house but rarely in the bin

Worse still is when someone puts back a tub or jar with the most tiniest little scraping left in it rather than actually use it up, wash it out and put it in the recycling!

Probably the same people who leave just one sheet of toilet paper on the roll! :joy:

That’s a similar theme to the Bold advert where the woman is bunging her blouse in the wash …on the very day of her job interview! Who on earth would leave something like that to the last minute?

Somebody you would not want to hire.

The Just Eat ad where the guy talks in a stilted robot type voice for no apparent reason. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
There’s one similar with a woman doing it for Octopus Energy I think? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Aren’t adverts for fast-forwarding in this day and age? Can’t remember the last time I watched one. My wife reckons it is only a matter of time before they make slow-motion adverts to spite me.

Yes i watch most stuff pre-recorded for that very reason, but sometimes have to watch stuff live!

One that I’ve started to love is the end of the paddy powers games advert, “it’s daily” :joy_cat::man_shrugging::man_facepalming:

Argh! The " Mmmming bird" advert that I thought was only on the radio but have now discovered to my annoyance is also on the TV.

God I hate it! I literally grit my teeth when I start to hear it. Got to be up there as one of the most irritating ads ever!

Not sure I’ve spelt the Mmmming bit right but if you’ve heard this you’ll know what I’m talking about

If you want to block ads on YouTube, install ad blocker, it’s a chrome extension. I can watch YouTube on my laptop and not be annoyed by ads every again
