Advice needed about prostate toys

Hi everyone. My first post.

I have a chronic health condition that leaves me fatigued a lot. Having an orgasm helps me in lots of ways (better mood, better sleep, etc) but I often don't have the energy to masturbate. I assume a prostate vibrator would make masturbation less effort. For those of you who have a prostate, does it work like that for you?

It's very important for me that any anal vibrator should stay in place without effort. (Reducing effort is the theme.) I assume that means that the toy just needs to be narrower at the anus than it is in the rectum. Is that what you've found?

Lovehoney loads of anal/prostate vibrators. They are a lot of different shapes. I've listed and linked some examples below. Has anyone tried more than one of these shapes? Do they make a big difference? Or are there more imortant things I should be thinking about? I would be very grateful for any advice.

"U" shape: Desire Luxury Rechargeable Remote Control Prostate Massager https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=35137

More of a "T" shape: Rechargeable 10 Function Silicone Prostate Massager https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=39563

An "L" shape? : Lovehoney High Roller Remote Control Rotating Prostate Massager https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=42638

This one looks more like a contoured dildo: Lovehoney Ripple Rider 5 Function Vibrating Prostate Massager https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=34728

And I wonder whether this inflatable, vibrating butplug would have the same effect: Lovehoney Vibrating Inflatable Butt Plug 4.5 Inch https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=6406

I have the Rechargeable 10 Function Silicone Prostate Massager which has powerful vibrations and a good range of patterns. It stays in place well and is my favourite anal toy

I also have the Lovehoney Vibrating Inflatable Butt Plug. This uses two AA batteries. It has a variable speed vibrating function but no patterns. Inflating the plug gives an incrediblly full feeling which I really enjoy but the more the plug is inflated the less you can feel the vibrations. I orgasm easily with this toy

Generally speaking rechargeable toys have more powerful vibrations than battery powered toys. If you are only going to use the toy for your own benefit then don't waste money on remote controlled versions.

Not my area of expertise although lots of posts I have read on here suggest the aneros range of prostate massagers.

They're not too intimidating and apparently do pretty much all the work for you, would be worth checking the reviews!

Don't forgot about the sexual happiness guarantee too if your skeptical on price etc.

Not a prostate owner but I do belong to a neurological condition group. We're mostly ladies but there are a few gents there and they've been happy to share their problems and what they've found helps after hearing the women discuss orgasm and general sex/mobility issues.

None have mentioned prostate toys but they've all had help with vibrations from vibrating toys that don't need erections to use. The Hot Octopuss Pulse seems to have gained the most attention from the men in the group. I had a quick look through Lovehoney and have come across their own Ignite Mini and the Fun Factory's Manta. (If Ian Chimp is reading he may be able to do his link trick for me - thanks, Mr Chimp.)

Apart from the fact that they clearly work for them they're incredibly easy to use, especially if you suffer with fatigue.

Not that I'm trying to put you off a prostate toy but if you just want an orgasm to help you sleep using a "guybrator" may make it easier for you. I've heard several say they have a satisfying "dry" orgasm with them (though this might be a lot to do with having a neuro condition) so zero clean-up, too.

Maybe you could try both but save the prostate toys for when you're less fatigued as from what I read here they can take a bit of practice.

Whichever route you decide on I wish you luck. Fatigue is horrible and losing sleep is even worse.

Hot Octopuss (there's a few models so I've linked the brand) https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/brands/hotoctopuss/

Ignite Mini https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=41334

Fun Factory Manta https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/search/?q=Manta

(I may have said this before..., but adding links is super easy. 🙂 You just copy the address from the address bar and paste it into your post. The forum autolinks all the Lovehoney ones for you. 👍)

Thank you everyone for your recommendations. That's all useful information for me.

VR, thank you so much for telling me about masturbators that will work on a flaccid penis. I did not know these existed.

If the reviews on several prostate toys are to be true, a prostate orgasm may be more fatiguing than a normal penis/testicle orgasm (they talk about leg shaking full body trembling orgasms leaving them a quivering mess). Whilsts its likely there is a bit of poetic license / truth stretching to the reviews, they all tend to talk about still being an active participant in the process which may also be more fatiguing.

Something that actively rubs the prostate may be better than just a vibration,

Lelo wave https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=34702

Aneros Vice 2 https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20127

Or something from the nexus range

https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/brands/nexus/

The wave looks like it may need more manual handling (holding it in place and/or manipulating it in/out to hit the spot) whereas the aneros and nexus ones seem to be a set and forget type toy.

As above, I don't know whether or not you will find prostate stimulation the answer, but they may be worth a go

Thank you Senator. I initially thought of prostate vibration because I thought it would get me erect and closer to an orgasm before I made any significant effort, but as VR and yourself point out, it might use more energy rather than less.

I would be very interested to hear from rockstar, or anyone else who uses a vibrating prostate massager, about whether they feel more drained (of energy) after an orgasm that included prostate massage.

I wouldn't bank on prostate stimulation leading to an erection. Even now although I really enjoy it, I am often flaccid and if anything it can prolong a normal orgasm as the dual sensations can make concentrating on building to an orgasm a bit more difficult. Each is different and responds differently of course.

The only way you will really know what works for you is to give it a crack. Maybe start off with one of the cheaper prostate vibration toys, booty buddy etc to gauge your reaction to the stimulation and go from there.

Thank you. That's interesting and helpful.

I have a few prostate massagers the nexus revo slim and a few aneros models the aneros are nice for like a longer build up of .. well i wouldn't say pleasure but enjoyment like an energy builds up in your groin area if you forget about it and just let it happen it can be pretty nice it will drain you so to speak if you actually let it "milk" your prostate but it does feel Really good If your thinking aneros MGX is my reccomendation Same goes for the revo it's a Lot faster maybe around an hour on the slow rotation setting with no other stimulation and you get the tingle as apose to nearer 2 hours with aneros or not mechanical massagers Something simple which can really kick it into high gear at least for me is the Tracey Cox edge masturbator https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=40221 It's very simple and requires a dab of lube and just a small amount of movement I have never had any luck with penis vibrators but vibration doesn't do it for me analy either I prefer the moving/kneeding motion It's just preferable but I would say don't be afraid to go for the expensive thing first I made the mistake of buying lots of cheeper toys and ended up not getting anywhere and just buying the more expensive products anyway (case and point i now own the njoy pure wand - because 40% off ?) Hope this helps, be sure to update the forum if you find what you want

I have the high roller and it is a toy that requires some work keeping it in place. The rotation seems to cause it to shift out of place easially if not sitting or leaning on it so no laying.

For simple that always stays in place i'd recomned the booty buddy, it stays in place and gets me going.

As for my experience with P-spot stimulation, it is very pleasurable and causes better orgasms that in my case do happen quicker given the right stimulation. The high roller is really intense but so far does require more work than I had expected.
