I’m thinking about getting a wand as an anniversary gift for my OH just wandering if the size of the wand makes a difference.
I know mains powered wands tend to be more powerful, but the idea of having to negotiate around the cable doesn’t seem sexy. I’d like to use it for massages as well as giving her orgasms.

I adore my Mantric wand (I know @Peitho does too).
It’s rechargeable and fairly powerful. I use it both for pain relief and also for pleasure 
I believe the LH Mon Ami one is similar.

We got the Magic Wand Rechargeable and it’s pretty powerful and rumbly, but I don’t have anything to compare it to. To be honest, it’s not my wife’s favorite thing. I do use it occasionally to tease her when she’s restrained or holding it against the base of an inserted dildo to give some vibration, but the sensation is too broad for her taste and while it’s pleasurable and increases arousal it does not easily lead to orgasm for her as she prefers a much more focused clitoral stimulation via oral or Womanizer-type toys.

We have a the mini Rechargeable wand whichbis grest for us. The larger versions will be better for massages
Just to confuse the issue my wife has full size and Midi-wands and her favourite by far is the Midi size.
The head is about 3cm diameter.
I’m looking at getting either the Lovehoney Desire Luxury Rechargeable Wand Vibrator or the Lovehoney Dream Wand Rechargeable Mini Massage Wand Vibrator. I’m leaning more towards the dream wand, because you can get with a few sets. But I’m not sure how much trade off there will be with power/intensity.
We have the Lovehoney Classic Wand 2.0 Extra Powerful Multispeed Massage Vibrator. t is a mains powered one and we do use it as a massager mainly but I find it is great and not to expensive.
I have a mini wand that I love, although can’t link as it’s a competitor brand. I also bought the Power Play mini wand from Lovehoney, although I ended up sending it back. It just wasn’t quite powerful enough for me 
The Le Wand Petite in rose gold is fantastic.
