I’ve Just retired at the age of 69, I was a owner/Driver of a Truck.
I Did Uk, Europe regularly, and Russia, Turkey a few times.
Mostly Heavy Haulage ( I’m the one you’ve been stuck behind with the wide load !).
Retired end of August 2025, Sold My Truck and trailer to another company, Miss the Crack and banter of the Job, but not the Crazy Hours and being away from home for long periods.

I’m 56 and was a telecoms technician for almost 30yrs, now part time in an educational establishment.
My partner J is 61 and and administrator in a public sector organisation , with a previous life with the RAF.
67 Semi retired engineer with a specialist knowledge of large marine type diesels. Worked all over the world
Work about 12 weeks a year now. Mainly around the UK, although due to a skills shortage i still get asked to go further afield
