Allergic reaction - toys

I know that a few people have had allergic reactions to lubes but I was wondering if anyone had ever had an adverse reaction to a toy? Itching/burning etc?

erm I know this was posted awhile ago but yes I have had a bad reaction from some toys before. Though partly this is my own fault as I have a general allergy to latex. It can be annoying at times as some sites will not tell you whether or not a toy is latex free.

I have tried a few latex toys even though I have been aware of my allergy and even though I might experience fun during use I will actually have redness and soreness in the area for a few days later.

Though this might not be what you are referring to.

I haven't had a reaction to a toy, but when I tried out the Durex Tingle lube it made my skin sort of dry and itchy for the next day, but it was a sort of delayed thing since it only started after I had a shower. Truly a bizarre occurrance.

not a reaction to any toys but i did get a reaction to some lube, it was burning my clit had to wash off , was one from the suoermarket ,,now i keep to durex lube at least i know what i,m dealing with instead of the other brands

Lots of ladies have had reactions to the Tingle and Heat durex lubes. Truly awful products. I do however think they changed the ingedients...

I think it was probably the combination of lube and shower gel, when it started itching I put a small bit of the lub on my arm then washed it off and it was fine.

I don't know if I have a sensitivity to latex but most condoms give me a burning sensation. We use Durex Avanti although unfortunately they're rather expensive. I've never had a problem with a toy and I've used lots of different materials but always avoided latex.

Never to toys but to durex tingle and heat lubes, horrible stuff! Feels like its burning. I do have the very cherry lube (check your supermarket for prices) and that tastes lovely and I dont have any reactions.

i have bad reaction to the basic toys and alot more, got be careful what i buy now. x

i have a reaction to stainless steel!

i have been advised to use surgical grade steel in the future which i am yet to do.

apparently some 'stainless steel' contains nickel which is what causes a rash after prolonged contact to skin

The nickel thing is actually pretty common. That's the reason you'll hear people say they can only wear either gold or silver jewellery. The gold and the silver have no effect, it's what they mix in with it. Some people also have reactions to steel body jewellery, and is why you shouldn't really use a non-medical grade material in piercings.

I'm quite lucky in that I don't seem to react to anything. As far as I know I am totally allergy free.

so any ideas to a solution for a cock ring?

i'd like to get a metal one but yet to find one stating it is made from surgical grade steel.

dont fancy the cost of having one made out of pure silver!
