How big do people go and has anyone taken it too far?
I have been using bigger anal toys and would like to go even bigger but don't want to cause permanent problems.
It is possible to cause damage, but with patience and care and lube, you can enjoy 12 inch circumference toys without problems. Bigger may be possible, but 30cm circumference toys are my current maximum and my body functions completely normaly between toy sessions. I guess you've been doing this a while too (how big is 'bigger'?), but for other readers, here are some tips - there's plenty of advice and ideas on here and other websites too -
Lots of lube.
Only use toys designed for anal use.
Enjoy what you're doing.
Stop for at least a few days if there's pain or blood.
Increase sizes very slowly - I've taken about 6 years to go from 6 inches to 12 inches.
You're training your muscles to be more adaptable. Always start small.
The limit is the space between the bones of your pelvic girdle - you'll feel it when you get close.
Everyone is different. Have fun, it's not a competition.
No, I've never taken it too far. I worried a couple of times after a toy got stuck for a few minutes, or there was a streak of blood, but I've read about people needing surgery to repair tears or retrieve lost toys. Love yourself and each other x

How big, well, I've read up to 15", that said ultimately its down to your bone structure, the biggest you can go is what will fit inbetween your pelvis, if you gradually stretch yourself 12+" should be no problem, note I've been playing that way for probably 30 years this is my go to plug https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17541
Note it gets adictive, the just a bit more or wonder if I can go that big is always in the back of your mind, if you want to save money buy this "scary" looking but great feeling toy means you don't need to buy lots of slightly different sizes of plugs you just go to where feels good, eventually you'll be at the base,,,
That last toys base would scare me... doesn’t look flared enough 😂. We have only just really in the last year started anal play. But the advice here is great.

I can definitely see how it gets addictive. Just wanting to push a bit further each time.
