Any Gamers?

I just saw this on Devolver’s twitter. I remember playing the first one in middle school and learning insult sword fighting! Crossing my fingers for a review key.

Been watching the videos but I don’t have the consoles for it. All our consoles are old so we can get the games cheap!

Tried Fortnite’s No Building Mode.

Got some insane clips.

Tried playing Overcooked with my partner who quit early saying “This isn’t even fun, it’s stressful!”, Haha. I definitely don’t envy people who work in kitchens that’s for sure :upside_down_face:

I have all 3 but havent managed to finish any of them

It took years on and off of trying. It’s one of those games where you bang your head against brick walls and then you make a breakthrough by changing your approach or route or kit and then there’s that moment of flow where you glide through for a while before the next wall.

I understand that. I just go with melee builds and after levelling up alot im still struggling

The key sometimes is less about levelling up your character and more about levelling up your kit. I found having a weapon with good range that scaled to my stats made a huge difference. I used giant scythe and then supplemented with a bow or crossbow for ranged attacks and sniping. Having some magic also helped. The other mistake I had was going too heavy and not paying attention to stats for resistances. By the end I was switching armour for each section.

I’m the first game opening up short cuts took some of the sting out of having to traipse back to annoying bosses. I got some good tips from YT to help skip lengthy backtracking.

I’ve had better results (still have yet to beat any) using weapons and armor that fit my current stats. Like even though I’m going a spear build, it’s too slow early on and going super light armor with a dex sword (rapier) worked best until I could upgrade.

My character is definitely more of a blocker then a roller lol.
I havent event thought about magic and ive barely found any armour. Using a longsword that ive leveled up a few times too

I’ve started Assassins Creed Valhalla and the map is MASSIVE! Sort of put me off to be fair. Anyone else playing this?

I used to really like playing AC but they changed some of the mechanics to the game, as such have not played a full play through since AC Syndicate which I really enjoyed, especially as it was based in the City I am from.

I was exactly the same. Love syndicate and then all of a sudden the maps got bigger, game slowed down and it’s less enjoyable. I may persist on but saying 150+ to complete. That’s crazy

Lots of Xenoblade Chronicles being played lately over here :+1:

Struggling to enjoy my switch games lately. Maybe im just having down days again

I am tempted but not sure I can justify it when I’m still lost in Breath of the Wild!

As a counterbalance I got Bayonetta 2 which is a ridiculous game from the outset.

I really wanted to play bayonetta 2

Was tempted to get animal crossings new horizon. Wondered if there is much point playing it solo etc

He’s been playing through Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2 before the new one comes out in July, then I’m sure he’ll restart Breath of the Wild after that to play through before the new one comes out next year

I watched the trailer for the first one to remind me of it. I have vivid memories of the final battle and how frustrating it was. In my gaming delirium I thought changing the voice over language to Japanese would help and it did!

Breath of Wild is very cool even though I suck at it.
