We really like the look of this but the only review is not terribly reassuring!
I have a Doc Johnson cilco with the same circumference, but it's a few inches long. I actually got along with it ok, but there was a very strange smell- I've found this with other doc johnson products too. Though in all honesty the smell does seem to go over time and really it doesn't put you of when using the product. I've found with other realistic dildos by them that the head is smooth enough to make inserting fairly easy, yes it's slightly bigger than some dildos but it's not the biggest.

Is it weird that I actually quite like the smell? I didn't like it at first but it was better than that plasticky/rubber smell that usually comes with toys. It has a fruity smell that can be quite overpowering but I got used to it. I think it depends on the individual.

I think the material makes it really easy for penetration and the ridges are excellent. I do agree with that sole review that it's suitable for someone that is used to taking in that girth or similar as it can be quite a shock at first.
If what you're looking for is something of similar girth and/or size then I say go for it. I really liked the similar Doc Johnson toy I bought.

The dildo that comes with it looks identical apart from the colour and vac-u-loc fitting. I expect it's the same mould and material.
Mine does smell a bit odd, kind of fruity. Its not that offputting though, and much nicer than strong rubbery type smell you can get on some toys. The thing is covered with "veins" but they are smooth, and the material is a lovey soft texture so has a good bit of give in it. It's certainly pleasurable for me & my OH when I've used it on her!
I say its very unlikely that the dildo itself did cause the thrush issues etc the reviewer, Little Lady, talks about, the doc-johnson range is so popular as is its sil-a-gel formula, if there were issues with this i'm sure that they would be well known by now. Probably was just bad luck for her.
So I'd say give it a shot! And if you do find that its not right, one of the best things about Lovehoney is their fantastic returns service if it does turn out that you're not happy with it.
Just to comment on what others have said about the smell, we bought an anal doc johnson toy and the smell put us off it so much that i pretty much went straight in the bin! won't spend money on them at all now.
i have the doc johnson ballsy dildo 6 inch in black and i really like it! it really does have a strong smell but it doesn't put me off too much and it is new so think it would fade after a few washes.
but i like it and would recommend it
I've thought of getting that one actually.. I've never tried out a dildo, only vibraters so I'm quite intrested although I don't think i'm going to get that much out of it, which is why I've been putting it off..
