Aphrodisiac Chocolates

Hi all, long time lurker, infrequent poster here,

I have just bought some aphrodisiac chocolates from Lovehoney’s website. I am intrigued and excited. I have done a little research, but would like to know more people’s experience please.

Placebo? Did they work really well? a bit of both?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah we bought some and tried them. The ones we got came in a small slab of four squares and they were not great tasting. Tasted to me like they had a bit of chilli in but was not listed on ingredients. No they did not work at all, i did not feel any different than normal neither did hubby.

Sharing a fruit and nut Toblerone the other week worked for me…:face_savoring_food:

Hello,

I’ve not bought them but looking at the reviews (and knowing what I like and don’t like), I’m feeling a bit skeptical. For me personally, good food aways gets me thinking about good sex - arouse the senses and it’s going to do exactly that!

Dark chocolate is an aphrodisiac food in itself, as are strawberries: people have been eating chocolate-dipped strawberries as a love food pretty much since the dawn of man. Add all of the other stuff? How much works, and how much is a marketing gimmick?

I’m concerned by the “results may vary” disclaimers on them - that’s a sliding scale between a wild night and a wildly priced box of otherwise-average chocolates. That means they might work, or there again, you might wind up sat around waiting for what may never come.

The thing with aphrodisiacs is people tend to vary on what aphrodisiac foods work for them. I personally can’t stand oysters and I’m allergic to strawberries, and dark chocolate is anywhere between tasty and migraines. I like hot honey but I prefer it on my pizza, but ginger and vanilla both work. My point? Find what works for you and puts you in the mood, because that will likely work far better than aphrodisiac chocolates ever will. Good luck

We have not tried them, but such chocolates seemed to be being pushed a lot more on social media promising all sorts of fabulous results.

So I would be keen to hear the results.

Maybe you both are naturally an aphrodisiac so didn’t need it!

Things like this are always 50/50 as there’s still not much evidence that aphrodisiacs are a real thing, but as long as the chocolate tastes good then who cares :face_savoring_food:

at £15-27 a pop, my purse would certainly care :joy:

They didn’t work for either of us.

Nice idea, but they need to actually have a slight impact for us to get them again

Never bought or tried these. On another note, there is a chocolate maker here in the states that make the best dark chocolate cherry cordials. I jokingly told my wife they would pair well with her arse while rimming her. Well we tried it one day and it was a delight. :joy:

Hot damn diggedy!! Maybe just stick to the bar of Galaxy then!!

I’m a Malteser muncher. The jokes in this house about my liking balls in my mouth are aplenty :joy:
